Wow! Been writting this for a whole month! Woohoo! So last time I forced 3 chapters almost at once because I knew I had a lot of work the next week so here I am, a week later trying to continue! I think the 13th chapter managed to sort of end the first part of this fanfic - still not sure out of how many. XD Maybe 2, maybe more, dunno! Most likely 2 or 3, though... So after a short recuperation and a week full of work/sleep and nothing else - here we go again - the first chapter of the continuation!

They were back in the SID office. The students were being watched by a rather angry bunch of SID members while Zhao Yunlan took the Black Cloak Envoy to his office. Somehow no one had realized even with their Chief's yelling, who the Black Cloak Envoy was. Only the Deputy kept throwing suspicious and wary looks in the Enhanced's direction while keeping himself in a safe distance. Being first manipulated and then almost choked to death, this wasn't his day. And he also kept sulking that the Chief didn't seem to be most concerned about him but the Black Cloak Envoy instead.
Shen Wei sat deafeatedly on a chair across from Zhao Yunlan. His head was hung down. He felt tired, confused but sort of relieved. If anyone was to catch him, he was glad it was the present Chief of SID.
Yunlan went through the first drawyer in his desk and took out a much needed lollipop, throwing the wrapping paper somewhere on the desk and stuffing his mouth with the strawberry treat. Then he leaned over the desk, stretching his right arm towards the Black Cloak Envoy's mask, stopping just an inch in front of it, silently asking for permission.
Shen Wei closed his eyes, letting the detective take off the mask, revealing the face of the resigned Professor.
Sitting back in his chair with the black embroidered mask in hands, Zhao Yunlan smiled at his handsome mafia-fighting hero. "Shen Wei... How could I ask for more...?"
The Professor blinked, not really understanding Zhao Yunlan's reaction.
The detective got up from his chair, walking around the desk to have a good look of the Black Cloak Envoy's full look.
His clothes were combat-friendly, yet made sure his looks made a psychological impact. All black, natural materials, a hooded coat with wide sleeves making his already muscular physique even more imposant, but tight at the end with bandages and gloves so they don't flail around. The coat itself was secured with a black belt and under it he wore a simple turtle-neck T-shirt and black pants tucked in high black-leather combat boots with steel toes. Both knees and elbows were extra padded for protection, just like the knuckle parts of the gloves.
There were thousands of questions in Yunlan's head that he just wanted to spring at his idol but he forced himself to calm down. This wasn't the right time.
"Shen Wei," he spoke softly, leaning his tighs against the desk while standing directly in front of the other male.
The Professor turned his gaze up to look at the detective. His eyes, still a bit unfocused and unhappy, almost like he could break down in tears at any moment. He looked exhausted and somehow hopeful. This position, having the Black Cloak Envoy, his idol and superhero or his beloved and gentle Shen Wei, look up at him felt really uncomfortable to Zhao Yunlan and he kneeled down on one knee, taking Professor's hands in his. He didn't want to feel superior. He wasn't there to order Shen Wei anything, he wanted to help him, to be his equal.
"Who would have thought, the intellectual gentlemanly Professor was the most sought after man in the whole Dragon City by the police and mafia alike...?" he whispered gently, smiling.
Shen Wei avoided his gaze. "I'm sorry... I deceived you..."
"No... No, Xiao Wei. You never lied to me. I'm pretty sure of that, okay? I know, how this must be hard on you. I can understand what these students mean to you. I know why you do what you do and I think it's the right thing. But it seems, you hit a wall. Let me help you get over it.... Please..." the Chief touched Shen Wei's chin, making him look himself in the eyes.
