Let go

The next day you almost fell asleep at your work as you couldn't sleep all night long.

Your eyes were slowly closing but suddenly you heard a knock on the door. It was the next patient.

As you tried to stay awake you saw Jungkook coming in. He looked much happier than the first time he came in.

« Oh hello Jungkook, welcome »
«Hello » he answered with a smile on his face.
He placed himself on the couch and was ready to talk. He didn't lay on it and looked at you unlike the first session.

Again, you sat closer to him and started.
Last time when he spoke you understood that he had it difficult at times but clearly isn't ready to quit being an idol as he loves Army's too much and they mean the world too him. 

But he's still not comfortable with how things are though. So you thought about a solution that could help him feel better.

« What do you think about writing a song where you imagine letting everything go? This way you can put all the negative emotion in the song to make a positive one. »

His eyes grew bigger while listening to you. He looked like he was so impressed, like I told him the idea of the year. « That's an amazing idea!It's not going to be easy but I'm going to give it all I got » he said and so you continued your session.

This time he did not only tell you about negative things but also about little things that made him happy or laugh. Like the moment Seokjin wore pink underwear because he thought it looked good but it was actually from a female staff. Even I couldn't hold my laughter while hearing such stories.

And so on, session after session, he came and you talked about how he viewed his life. You got to know so much about him. Every time he came you felt as if he became happier and happier.

And so, after a month, he came for his last session with you. Today was also the day your parents were coming back, it was quite difficult without them but you survived it..surprisingly.

« I finished the song I was writing, the one I wrote with all my emotions. » he announced. «As you said, it made me feel so much better but I want you to hear it, it's my way of thanking you. »

Wow...am I really going to be the first person to hear an unreleased song? You thought.

« It's an honor »

« The title is: Let go » he said and then began singing.

🎶....In order to release your hand right now
I gotta let you know that I need to let you go
Hard to say goodbye

I'm ready to let go.🎶

You were blown away by how beautiful his voice, the lyrics, the whole song was. As he finished singing you were both a bit emotional.

« Thank you so much » you both said. You looked at each other and started laughing.

« I just wanted to thank you for sharing such a beautiful song with me » you began.

« And I want to thank you for making me feel so much better, I'm so happy and satisfied with my life and that's all because of you. »

So, it ends here isn't it? I'm probably never going to meet him anymore. You thought. Saying goodbye to a patient was never easy but now it was worse because Jungkook felt more than a patient...he felt like a friend.

As you both got up to part ways you remembered that he needed to sign some papers before he can go. You handed him the pen and while he was looking into the papers your phone rang.

« Hello you're with Y/N » as you heard what the other voice had to say, time stopped. The joyful life you had flashed in front of your eyes. The whole world started becoming dark. You didn't even have a bit of energy left to stand and you fell on your knees. You felt your heart beating so fast in your chest as if it was going to burst.

While breathing so fast you felt Jungkook's hand on your shoulder. « What happened?! What's going on?! » these were the last words you heard before you passed out.

You tried opening your eyes. « Where am I? » the place looked unfamiliar. After a few seconds you realized that you were in a hospital. You felt a hand holding yours, it was Jungkook's. He looked so relieved that you woke up.

« W-why am I here? »
Jungkook held your hand even tighter and gave you a serious look. « You had a phone call and you suddenly collapsed what happened?? »

As you heard his words you remembered everything. « N-NO T-THAT CAN'T BE TRUE» you started stressing and tried to stand up even tho you had no energy. Tears started flowing just like a river. « MY PARENTS CAN'T BE DEAD THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE. »

Jungkook was shocked of what you said and let go of your hand that he was holding tight to avoid you standing up.

You fell on the ground and started hitting it while screaming and crying.

« I'm sorry to inform you that your parents died because of a plane crash. » were the exact words you heard on the phone.

« IT CAN'T BE! » you screamed while still crying thousand of tears. The nurses and doctor came to stop you and tried calming you down. They put you back in your bed and gave you some tranquilizer. While Jungkook couldn't do a thing and just watched...
