Chapter 7
There was a knock at the door at my Grandma's house. She opened the door and there stood my little brother. She rushed to his side, and hugged him.
" Honey! Where have you been? " She asked with relief.
" Julie didn't come to get me at school today. " Matt said.
" Matt honey, what are you talking about? " Grandma asked in fear.
" I saw Julie go with another man today at the stop light Grammy. Why did she do that? " he asked wondering.
" Yes ma'am are you aware where your grand daughter is? " the cop asked.
" No, but I've been worried all afternoon. What's wrong? Where is she? " she asked her voice shaking.
" Ma'am we found her back pack and blood on the side of the road. Your grandson came up to me as I was driving down the street when I saw the back pack and asked if I knew the man that took her. I told him I'd take him home. "
" Oh my goodness. " She said on the verge of crying.
" Grammy it's okay Julie will be okay. I seen her with another man. He won't hurt her. " Matt said.
" Matt... Yes he will because I think I know who did it... "she whispered.
" Excuse me? " the cop asked.
" Nothing! Nothing... I'm going crazy. "
" Ma'am... Please give me a call at this number if she's not home in the next twenty four hours. My name is officer Marty Lambert. " he said handing her a card with a phone number.
" Ye-yes of course. "
My grand mother's heart was destroyed. I was gone. One thing went through her mind. Could she be dead? She sat at the door waiting for hours. Until the clock struck mid-night. I wasn't coming home that night. I wouldn't be coming home for a couple nights. For a couple weeks.
She knew who did this and was determined to find him. Not with some obnoxious cop however. She had to do it on her own. Because this man was dangerous. This man was my father...
