I then realized what I had done. My chances surviving against this man were slim. He was passed out on the floor. Blood ran down his head where I slammed him in the head with an old, rusty beer bottle. A small piece of glass rest in his head, thank The Lord not deep enough for him to be dead.
" What have I done... " I said quietly.
" Juliet... What are we gonna do now? " Bobby asked nervously not knowing what to do.
I felt so sad. I know Bobby would get hurt for this. He may never reunite with his daughter again.
" I don't know! I'm so sorry Bobby! " I said breaking into tears.
" Juliet its okay, " Bobby said in a consoling voice.
" No its not! I ruined your chances of you ever seeing your daughter again! "
At that point I knew what I had to do. I had to make things right for me, him, and his family.
" Bobby, I need you to go get your stuff... " I said.
" What? " he asked confused.
" Bobby please! " I pleaded tears streaming down my face.
" Why do I need to ge- " I cut him off.
" Bobby get your stuff. Please you have to trust me! "
We stared for a second. He looked sad, concerned, and totally surprised all in one face.
" Okay fine you win... " He said as he walked to away to gather his things.
As he was out of the room getting his stuff, I went over to the sleeping Dave. I searched his pockets. I was looking for what you ask? His car keys. I was breaking Bobby out.
I searched and searched until I finally found them in his right denim pocket. I also found a pocket knife, which just in case could come in handy. I carefully pulled them out trying hard not to wake the beast. My hand was shaking, as I was sweating. One wrong move could leave me dead. Then finally, the keys reached the surface. I had done it.
I ran out of the closet, the keys in hand. When I reached the outside of it, I closed the closet door and I locked it tight.
I then went in search for Bobby. I found him in the kitchen.
" Hey are you packed? " I asked him.
" Yeah, Juliet whats going on? " He asked.
" You'll see. Come on you have to go! " I said as I grabbed his wrist, and pulled him out the houses door.
I pulled Bobby over to the van. I then stopped. I looked at the keys then at Bobby.
" Bobby... You need to go be with your daughter, " I said on the verge of tears.
" What? " He asks.
" You need to take the van. Go find your daughter, then... Tell the police to come for me, " I said as I looked to the ground.
" I'm not leaving, and even if I was not without you Juliet. I can't go back now not yet. Atleast not without you, " Bobby said.
" Bobby please just go. You have to! Your daughter needs you! I'll stay here... I can't leave not yet, "\
" Why not? " He asked.
" ... I need to find answers. I think Dave might have them, "
Bobby shed a single tear down his face.
" I'll be okay, " I said.
" Juliet, as an adult I can't leave you here to die. Please come with me! " He begged.
" But you see I won't die. I promise. Now get your ass in that van, and drive away to see your daughter. She misses you, "
" Juliet no! " He yelled at me.
I then thought about what I could do to get him to drive away. Then I got it.
" Bobby get in the van. I don't want to have to do this, "
"... Do what.. "
I then did the worst thing I've ever done in my life time... I pulled a knife on him. At the moment where I was thinking I remembered I had taken Dave's pocket knife as well as the car keys.
" ... alright... I'm going, " Bobby said as he slowly backed away, until he finally reached the car door.
" I'm sorry Bobby.. " I said as he grabbed the door handle.
He was balling his eyes out. I dropped a few tears myself.
Next thing I knew Bobby had driven off, and I was alone. I was happy to be alone however. Bobby got to live. He got to continue his amazing life, and be with his daughter.
Its a wonderful life for some people, my friend. Just not me...
