(I know... if he says this here... wait, that won't work...)

I shut myself in my room to work on my stage play every day after work.

Kagari: "I'm so obsessed with making it perfect, I'm not making much progress."

Kagari: "But I don't want to give up on it."

Kyohei: "Kagari."

Kagari: "Wha!? H-How long have you been standing there, Kyohei?"

Kyohei: "A long time."

(I've given up on asking him to knock because I know he won't.)

Kagari: "S-Sorry, I didn't realize."

Kyohei: "Working on the play again today?"

Kagari: "Yes, and did you need something?"

Kyohei: "Not particularly..."

Kyohei: "You're so focused you didn't even notice me. Does that mean it's going well?"

Kagari: "I've been thinking so much about it, I'm not sure what to do."

Kyohei: "Again?"

Kagari: "I want to do a good job of portraying the full emotions of the characters..."

Kagari: "But when I try to do that it gets too long and convoluted..."

Kyohei: "Hmm..."

Rather than taking a look at my notebook, but... Kyohei looks at my face.

Kagari: "W-What is it?"

Kyohei: "I was just thinking that even though you're under pressure, you look like you're enjoying it."

Kagari: "Huh? Really?"

I put my hand over my mouth to see if I'm smiling.

(Thinking about the feelings of my characters makes me think about my feelings for Kyohei.)

(That makes me feel happy and before I know it, I'm grinning.)

A brooding look on his face, Kyohei looks over my writing.

Kyohei: "Which part is giving you trouble?"

Kagari: "Right here. The part where the main character finally realize how he feels."

Kagari: "The notes in the margins are my ideas for the reason he came to love her."

Kyohei: "Just how many ideas did you come up with up? There are way too many here."

Kyohei is shocked by the dense, tightly packed list.

Kagari: "I want to express a lot of feelings to show how important they are."

Kyohei: "If you express too much, it's more likely to make someone pull away than be impressed."

Kagari: "But there are lots of reasons when you fall for somebody."

Kagari: "Of course you like everything about them, but it's better to hear the specified."

(With a song there's music to help express the emotions, so I can be more succinct.)

(But with screenplays it's hard to just the right length.)

Kyohei: "But simply using a big flood of words isn't going to get the point across."

Kagari: "Really? I want to express that he loves her so much he's overflowing with emotion."

Kyohei: "No, you don't understand."
