BEEP BEEP
I slammed my hand down on my alarm clock. I sat up as the time dawned 5:30 am. I only have three classes today and I wasn't looking forward to none of it. Science of the human body at 8:50, math at 9:40, and English at 10:40 there's a break from 10:20 to 10:28.
I took a shower and got dressed, by 6:05 I was eating breakfast. I didn't really want to do these classes. Each has a test of forty questions. I stayed up till about 2:45 am last night studying. I grabbed my book bag and shouldered it, leaving the house by 6:55. I have a three-mile walk to the bus stop. It arrives at 7:20.
As I was walking, I kept feeling like somebody was watching me. But I never looked cause it could just be somebody walking. I hum as I made it to the bus stop with three minutes to spare. I took out the two dollar bus fee.
*spike PoV*
Okay I know it's weird and stupid to stalk and follow someone you're intrigued by. Okay, don't blame me if this guy has my attention. College student, a few years younger than me. And his blood is enticing.
I watched as he got on the bus, unaware of me watching. Again! I'm sorry! I know. I walked past the bus stop and continued the ten-mile trek to the cafe and bar I own. I walked in "hey boss." Sandra said as I pass her "hi, put the open sign up will ya." I say as I go into my office for a brief moment. I check stock, we have enough drinks and stuff.
Jacob peeked his head in my office, "checking in boss." I nod as I sign some papers and I head out to see the cafe at full speed. It's only about 8:15 in the morning by now, and everyone's here for breakfast. Sandra, Jacob, Keith, and Andre is working full blast. I worked behind the bar and cash register. Keeps me from sitting down too long.
*Nova PoV*
I made it to school to study for my first class test again. And I was stressing. I have to make an A or else on this one. By 8:48 I was in class ready for my test. Once the professor passed it out I started on it. I finished and turned it in, took me a bit. Now for the second test, I studied that.
*later that day*
I was walking to the cafe and bar. "Welcome, booth or table?" This young brunette lady asked "table." I said as I followed her to a table near the bar. Lunchtime is nearly over since it's 1 pm. She came back "anything to drink?" She asked "coke." I said with a smile as I scroll through my phone. I hum as I waited. She came back three minutes later and took my order.
As I was waiting, I watch this guy behind the bar fill orders. But I turned back to my phone. Very good looking dude, but nope not doing that again. She brought my order "spike, the owner and bartender says it's on him." I blush and nodded. Did I get caught staring? Hopefully, I didn't it would be quiet the embarrassment. But after a bit, I finished my lunch and gave a tip of ten dollars.
I left blushing madly cause never expected that to happen. I went home and went to my room. I crashed in bed the moment I laid down. I kept thinking about the dude, owner, uh spike. How he paid for a fifteen dollar food. I shook the thought and decided it was best to go to sleep and not to worry to much about it because then it'll have my mind in a fury.
