I look over at the clock, 4:50. I've been up all night, like I usually am. Walking into the bedroom, I see Jen. Her short light brown hair was draped over her face, and her thin pink lips were in a straight line. Trying not to wake her up with the creaky bed, I sit on my bed and stare at her. I stay there till I start to see light coming through the small window and look over at the clock, 5:32. Jen starts to yawn and rolls over. I stride back out into the living room and lay on the couch again. Suddenly a loud noise comes from the hallway speakers. "Assembly in ten minutes, please come." Says the obnoxious voice of my sister. Jen runs out of her room, dressed and picks up her purse. "Come on sherlock!"

"What do you think it's about this time?" Jen asks as were walking.

"New student." I answer.

"Already, it's only the second day!" She exclaims back.

"Extreme circumstances."

"Hmm.."

The stands were packed with people wondering what's going on, all asking friends and chatting. A projector starts lowering from the ceiling and everyone becomes quite. The news channel leaps in colors on the screen, telling everyone that there has been a bombing and only a 14 year old girl survived. But her parents died in the fire. As soon as the film ends, the projector goes up and Mika walks out onto the stage. "We are going to be joined by a new student, be nice considering what just happened." Everyone murmured in agreement. "This is jane moriatry." A girl with dark brown, (almost black) chest length wavy hair strides onto the stage. She wore a navy suit jacket, pleaded skirt, tie and dress shoes. "I would just like to be called moriarty." She said in a thick icy Irish ascent that sent shivers up my spine.

After the assembly Jen decided she was hungry, but all I could think about was moriarty. That girl, eyes like the devil, hair that flowed like a Black Sea and nothing seamed sad about her, considering her parents just died. When that thought hit me I shivered violently.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Jen slurred with a full mouth, snapping me out of my thought.

"No, and don't talk with your mouth full."

She put up her hands In Defeat and chuckled. I gave a small smile and went back to my thoughts.

When Jen was done eating we began walking back to our dorm, the sound of chanting filled the hallways. "Fight! fight! fight!" Jen started to run towards the fight. "Awe are you going to cry to your mommy? Oh that's right you don't have one! Ha!" Carly sneered as she punched...moriarty, in the stomach. Moriarty looked up, hate in her eyes, that made everyone shiver, and punched her back, harder and in the throat. Carly gagged and fell to the floor. "Don't worry, she's just knocked out." Moriatry said brushing off her jacket. As she walked past me I heard her whisper "for now."
