Chapter 10

I got up and realized today was the ball. I was seeing my evil but good smelling mate. I went down stairs to the kitchen. Teressa the head chef had pancakes stacked to the ceiling for the pack.

"Good morning Teressa." I said

"Morning alpha." She said

"You know better you can call me Amber." I said. She gave me a warm smile. She was my mothers best friend before she died. Teressa took care of me whenever my mother and father couldn't.

Finishing my delicious breakfast I went upstairs to start getting ready. I took a shower and blow dried my hair. I put my hair in loose waves and put on simple mascara. I then put on the red and black lace dress the went to the floor had a slit in the front that went up to knee height. It was a sweet heart neck line. I put on my 5 inch black heels. And most importantly my rose rose gold stone necklace that my brother gave me and my mothers ring.

I gave a little twirl and was satisfied with my appearance and went down stairs. I went to Leas room. Her parents died after the war and I took care of her. She is 6 and she looks just like her mother. With shining blue eyes. When she saw me her eyes lit up.

"Amber!!" she screamed and gave me a hug.

"How you doing beautiful." I said softly as I scratched her back. She laughed her perfect laugh.

"I'm good." she said giggly

"What are you doing young lady get dressed we have a ball to go to." I said

She laughed again and went to put her dress on.

That girl looked beautiful in anything. I wish her mother could see her.

"Come here let me fix you up." I said. As I placed a hand on her back and sat her down in the chair in front of the mirror. I curled her dirty blonde hair loosely. Mo mind linked Teresa to bring me a flower crown. She came in minutes later and placed on Leas perfect head.

"You look like a princess." I said.

"You look like a queen." she said as she smiled.

I got up and kissed her forehead. Right before I walked out the door she told me

"I want to be you when I'm older." I smiled at her warmly. I took her hand in mine and walked with her to my car.

"Do you want to ride with me Lea?" I said. Her eyes lit up and hopped in quickly. She smiled the whole drive there.
