The bell rings, signaling the end of art class. I look to my left and see that Tori is already gathering her things and hurrying out of the classroom.
'Huh. That was weird. First she doesn't get pissed at Ethan for taking her seat and then she leaves that classroom without saying anything? Something isn't right.' I think to myself.
I continue to gather my things, so I can head to gym class.
"I thought you said Tori would be angry that I took her seat? She didn't seem angry with me," Ethan asks, confused.
I sigh and say, "I don't know what's going on with her. Normally she would get really upset and try to convince you to move to another seat."
After my explanation he turns back to his things, getting ready to go to seventh period. After I have everything I head towards the door, out of the classroom, and down to the gymnasium.
Once I get to the gym I meet Kendall in the locker room, since our lockers are right next to each other. By the time I get there Kendall has already gotten changed into a light blue shirt that goes down to mid-thigh and some black leggings.
     "Hey, Sarah," she says.
     "Hey," I reply.
I open my locker and put my gym bag inside. I don't have a backpack, so I don't have to deal with that. I look up to see Kendall heading towards the restroom. I turn back to my locker and grab an oversized tshirt. I quickly change and put the clothes that I'll change into after gym back into my locker. I head over to the door and exit the locker room.

I sit on the bleachers in the second row, waiting for Kendall to come out of the locker room. I also want to ask if she's noticed anything weird about Tori, but I'm not sure if I should. After I began giving Tori advice on things in the seventh grade, she started coming to me for advice more often. She would come to me for advice about Tyler or how to let someone down easy if they liked her. Most of the people that liked her happened to be girls, which I found and still find a little strange, but it really isn't any of my business. I still kind of wonder why she came to me instead of Kendall or Cameron, but I guess I'd have to ask to find out.
Finally, I see Kendall heading out of the locker room. Her hair falls over her left shoulder slightly as she walks, making the red she dyed the ends of her hair more prominent. She reaches the bleachers and takes a seat next to me.
     "Hey, Kendall?" I ask.
"Yeah?" she answers, going onto her phone.
"Can I ask you a question?" I begin.
"Yeah, of course. Is everything okay?" she asks.
"Well, you see, that's the thing. Tori was acting really weird today," I state.
"What do you mean by weird?" Kendall presses further.
"Today, in art, Ethan took Tori's seat, but she didn't say anything to him. Like, at all! She just sat down on the other side of me and stared at her lap, but when I tried to get her attention she got really pissed or something. Afterwards she apologized for raising her voice, but when I asked if something was wrong she said she didn't want to talk about it and put her earbuds in," I explain.
"That is weird. I haven't noticed anything wrong though. I mean, she isn't in my chorus class, but I can ask Cameron since she's in her chorus class if that would help?" she suggests.
"That's okay. I'll ask Betsy. She's a mutual friend of Tori and I and is in her seventh period. Plus they ride the same bus, so she would probably know if something was wrong. At least, I think she would," I reply.
"Okay. Well, today is Friday, so I was thinking about inviting you and the girls over tonight. You can all sleep over so you don't have to worry about a way home. What do you say?" she asks.
"I'm down. What time do I need to be there?" I ask.
"You should be there around seven," Kendall says.
"Okay. My parents will still be at work, so I'll text them and ask if it's cool. Oh, I'll have to get a ride from Cameron or someone though," I say.
"Oh, Cameron's definitely coming, so you can ask her for a ride. I haven't asked Tori or Greyson yet though," she explains.
"Okay. Well, I'll let you know if I can make it," I say.
Afterwards we get on our phones and wait for the announcements to come on. The announcements come on and tell car riders they can leave. Kendall stands up, getting ready to go out to her car. Her parents are fairly wealthy, so they were able to get her a car. Cameron and Greyson's parents are pretty wealthy as well, so they have cars too.
Kendall grabs her backpack and phone as she stands up.
"Bye Sarah! See you tonight!" she exclaims, waving at me as she walks out of the gymnasium, towards the front of the school.
I wave to her as she looks back at me over her shoulder.
Eventually, the announcements come back on and they release second load.
I stand up, grabbing my gym bag, which also carries my art folder, my math book, and whatever homework I have. I shove my phone into my back pocket and walk towards the exit, which leads to the back of the school, where the buses are located.
As I walk out of the building I see Ethan exit as well. I'm tempted to go talk to him, but I don't really have a reason and I don't want to come off as stupid. I mean, he's really nice, but I don't want to embarrass myself in front of him. So, instead I just keep walking in the direction of my bus.
