"You know I will miss you, right?"
Namjoon smiles. His mom was standing before him, having her usual speech. Every time he would go on a business trip she would talk about how she would miss him, even his dirty laundry he would sometimes drop and a constant breaking of things.
But this time, it was different. Namjoon was going on the other side of the world and won't see his family for months.
"I'll miss you too."
"Be careful there. I don't want to receive a call that you died because a scorpion or a snake bit you", his mom said, worrying too much like she always did.
Namjoon just smiled. "Mom, I know there are some... dangerous animals in Cairo, but I'm sure I'll be fine. Besides, when I went to study archaeology, I knew I would have to stop being afraid of spiders and other similar animals."
The ugly truth was, unfortunately, that he was still afraid of those hairy little things. Chills would run down his spine whenever he would even picture them in his head. Why hadn't he chosen underwater archaeology instead? He didn't have a problem with fishes and crabs, especially not crabs.
"I know, I know. But promise me that you'll call me. Whatever time it is here in Korea."

After saying goodbye to his family and trying to calm his crying mother, he got into a car where Jackson waited for him. He was his flatmate for three years now, and although Jackson would sometimes annoy him, he considered guy a friend.
"I hope you'll remember to call sometimes, really. I won't buy the same excuse 'I am busy' again. I will annoy you till you answer me", Jackson said grinning. Namjoon rolled his eyes.
"But I really am busy! I will send you a message and call you if I have enough time."
"Alright then. And also, send me a mummy. Gotta scare whoever might be my new flatmate away."
"Maybe the new person won't be bad."
"Yeah, but they won't be you. For real this time, I will miss you", Jackson said with a serious look on his face. Namjoon smiled, showing his dimples.
"I will miss you too."
They soon arrived at the airport and after a couple of minutes Namjoon was already in the plane, excited. When they offered him to work in Cairo, he couldn't refuse it. Yes, he loved working in Institute in Seoul, but since he was a child he adored Egyptian culture. He always dreamed about finding a hidden grave of some pharaoh and exploring pyramids. Honestly, he didn't think he will make it. People were always skeptical when he would tell them that he's going to study archaeology.
