"Hyung? Hyung, wake up!" someone shook Jimin, waking him up. He looked upwards and saw his younger brother, whose face was in slight panic.
"Jungkook? What is it?" he asked, now wide awake.
"You'll be late. Remember? Today's an important day, and if you don't hurry up, dad will flip."
"I thought something bad happened, don't scare me like that anymore," Jimin said not even slightly worried like his younger brother was. "Even if I'm late, nothing would've happened."
"Of course it wouldn't," Jungkook said quietly, almost not audible, yet Jimin heard. He sighed.
"You still think that crap about me being his 'favourite son' is actually true? Stop being so childish", he said putting on a shirt. Jungkook lowered his head and Jimin suddenly felt bad for talking so harshly. He hugged him tightly.
"I'm sorry. Please don't be sad and angry at me. What I meant was that I'm actually not even his son, how could he favor me over you? Look at you, mister 'good at everything'," Jimin said trying to cheer up the brown haired male, which worked. Jungkook softly laughed and returned the hug.
"I'm not angry at you hyung. You're the best person I've ever met. It's just that... even when I gave up music to go study science like you and the rest of the family, he still doesn't look satisfied with me. And it's bothering me."
Jimin bit his lip. Even though he was adopted into this family, he knew that their father actually did like him more, he just didn't want to tell that to Jungkook. He felt bad for his younger brother who did everything to satisfy his family, yet it was never enough. Jimin also loved his beautiful, soothing voice and it was a shame he couldn't follow his dream. He could sort of relate to Jungkook, since he, along with science, loved dance. The truth was, he would take dance over science anytime, but it was just not meant to be.
"He is satisfied with you Kookie, he just doesn't show it. You're doing great at university! Soon you'll join me in the laboratory and we'll be working together, how does that sound?"
Jungkook smiled. "It sounds great, thanks hyung. Now seriously, you need to go. You're going to see the pyramid for the first time today, and you'll be driving for maybe more than an hour since it's literally in the middle of nowhere."
"Boooring!" Jimin yelled and jokingly pushed Jungkook aside laughing and got his bag. After getting ready he waved him goodbye and closed the door.
Cold breeze caressed his skin, making him shiver a little. However, he enjoyed the feeling. Soon enough he entered his car and started driving. Sun was just going out and it seemed really early to do anything, even to this hardworking creature. He opened the window and let the fresh air consume him.
Nowadays, he really wished he was someone else. Even though he loved Cairo, he always felt like he belonged somewhere else, not here. His mind was constantly telling him to stay here with the family he was adopted in, where he easily found a job as a scientist since his dad was a high positioned one.
