At the Orchard, Klaus and Ophelia were standing beside each other, leaning against his parked truck, where Hope was sitting quietly in her car seat in the trunk. Next to them was Freya's unconscious body and several feet away, Dahlia had set up a small table, on which she had created an infinity symbol with salt and lit candles, where two small pewter chalices sat within each circle in preparation for her linking spell.

Klaus sighed audibly, causing Dahlia to look over at him for a moment before speaking, "You're quiet. Are you having misgivings?"

"I was just looking for a polite way to ask, 'What the hell is taking so long'?" Klaus asked Dahlia in a mocking tone, a smirk on his face.

Dahlia gestured to the table in front of her, "Well, we can begin now."

Klaus' smirk wiped off of his face, and he tilted his head curiously at her as he waited for further explanations. Dahlia smiled at him, visibly pleased about winning as Ophelia watched closely, "Once we're linked, I'll no longer have to sleep a hundred years again," She began to explain the immortal hybrid, "Your concerns for my status will ease, and I'll finally be able to focus on Hope and Ophelia."

She looked over at Hope, who was still sitting quietly in the car and Ophelia, who was sitting beside the infant girl. Klaus looked over at Hope and Ophelia as well, and Hope turned her head to look at her father. Ophelia, on the other hand, avoided eye contact with Klaus, still clearly upset.

After a moment, Dahlia walked toward Klaus, "I will only need one drop of their blood--" She started, causing Klaus to sigh and stand to his feet, blocking her from coming any closer to Hope and Ophelia while giving her a patronizing smile as well, "And then their power shall be mine also."

Klaus looked into the backseat, where Freya still laid unconscious, "What do you want to do about Freya?" He questioned Dahlia curiously.

"She served her purpose," She told Klaus in a calm tone, looking up at mon, which was at its its waning crescent phase, "So, tonight, at the moon's apex, I'll end her life, and once our link is severed, the bond that I share with your daughter and Ophelia will become permanent."

Klaus didn't seem pleased about Dahlia's reaction or her plan in general, but he did his best to keep his intentions concealed by smiling at her, "Best get on with it, then." He encouraged her.

Klaus pushed past Dahlia and walked toward the table, and Dahlia followed close behind him. Once there, she held out her hand, which Klaus took and clasped tightly. Dahlia waved her free hand over the table before she began to chant, "Medareno sometswar. Medareno sometswar." She chanted loudly.

After a moment, the pewter chalices in front of her started to fill with blood, which began to pour over the rim and onto the table. From there, the blood traveled toward the center of the infinity symbol. Klaus could barely cover up his displeasure at the event while Dahlia swayed and clutched onto his hand tightly, "Medareno sometswar. Medareno sometswar."

Dahlia continued the spell as their blood merged together in the middle of the infinity symbol. Suddenly, Dahlia and Klaus were knocked backward forcefully by the power of the spell, and both gasped loudly as Dahlia felt the rush of Klaus' power through her.

In the car, Hope started to whimper, so Ophelia was quick to move closer to her with Klaus following soon thereafter.

Once Dahlia had recovered, she began to laugh happily while Klaus' back was turned to her, "With your strength, I will never need to sleep for a century again."

"Well..." Klaus trailed off, causing Ophelia to frown as she watched him take a golden dagger out of his jacket, "Perhaps one more nap."

Dahlia, confused, turned back toward Klaus, who turned around to face her with the tip of the golden dagger piercing his chest. Dahlia realized what he was about to do and thrust her hand toward him, but it was too late; He has already daggered himself, causing both herself and Klaus to begin to desiccate.
