"Are you ready?" Sadie asked at my bedside, Tweek and Stan standing close-by.

I nodded, letting out a yawn. They had drawn some blood before-hand and it had exhausted me. "Ready as I possibly could be."

Sadie messed around with my IV but I was too tired to notice exactly what she was doing. After about a minute or so, she called the nurse over to put in the medicine.

"You may feel sick. There's a pan you can use if you need to throw up, and the stand has wheels if you need to go to the bathroom."

"Good to know. Thank you, Dr. Braxton." I said tiredly. "Am I gonna lose my hair already? Should we go hat shopping after this?" I said half-jokingly.

Sadie sighed. "It most likely won't happen right away, and it may not ever happen."

"That's great to hear, actually." I sighed.

"The nurse will check on you every thirty minutes, and I will be back in about four hours once your chemo has pretty much finished up."

"Trying to get rid of me already?" I smiled.

"Trust me, I couldn't walk out that door faster." She half-joked and smiled, leaving the room with the nurse walking out after her.

About an hour passed of me just relaxing. I looked over at Stan and Tweek. "I can't thank you guys enough, for everything."

Tweak opened his mouth to speak, but Stan cut him off. "As long as you get better, we don't mind having done this for you."

"As long as you get your cryptic form of payment." I smiled jokingly.

"Exactly," Stan said, seemingly stone-faced.

I rested my head and closed my eyes. "This is not how I expected to spend the next few months."

"It's not like you have a choice at this point." Tweek chimed in. He's right, I really don't.

"Yeah, I know. I just have to get through this... Oh, God." A sudden wave of sickness hit me like a punch to the face and I snatched up the pan. I threw up, and it was painful. The nausea didn't leave. At that point, I knew I was in for hell.

"Where did you find it, Tweek?" I asked as he handed me the blue chullo hat in his hand, my old hat.

"You gave it to me while we were dating. You never asked for it back so I boxed it up." He seemed excited about giving it back.

About a week had passed since the first treatment. I've had three more and my hair started falling out in patches after the third treatment. After today's treatment, we were going to go looking for a hat until Tweek found and brought me my old one.

I put the hat on and smiled. "Still fits perfectly, thank you Tweek."

"Why do you feel like you need a hat?" Stan said behind Tweek.

"I feel self-conscious with short hair. The hat helps." I looked at Tweek. "Thank you for finding it."

Tweek looked so happy to have helped me. However, Stan just seemed irritable. He cleared his throat and started walking towards the front door. "I have some work to do at the lab. I'll be late tonight so don't wait up for me." He was already out the door before either of us could reply.
