"Well, you got lucky, kid. It could have been a lot worse."

I only nodded, and he seemed to notice that I was aching to see them. He hurried out with a sense of urgency and it wasn't long before Tweek and Stan quickly walked in.

"Craig!" Tweek cried out as he ran to the right side of the bed and wrapped his arms around me.

All the pain in me melted as I wrapped my arms around him, breathing in the scent of his hair. I thanked God that he was safe, that the fatass didn't get to him. I could die happy at that point.

My eyes shifted to Stan. I expected him to be glaring at me or Tweek, but it seemed like he was just as relieved as Tweek was. I decided to ignore it for now and ask Tweek about it later.

Tweek finally pulled back from the hug, taking my hand and squeezing it. "I'm so glad you're okay, Craig. I was so scared."

"As long as you two are okay, then this," I pointed to my head. "was worth it."

"I'm sorry we couldn't get to you before he hurt you," Stan spoke up as he took a seat in one of the chairs next to the bed. "Are you absolutely sure that it was Cartman?"

I nodded and sat up a little, groaning from the pain in my side. "No doubt about it."

"Are you ready to give your statement to the police, then?" Tweek asked next.

"Yeah, I'm ready. Are they here?"

"I asked them to wait in the hallway so that we could talk to you for a minute. I'll poke my head out there real quick." Stan said as he stood back up and walked out in the hallway.

"Tweek, are you okay?" I asked as I cupped his cheek. I wanted to ask now while I had a chance.

"I'm okay. We can talk about it when Stan goes to work." He touched the hand on his cheek and rubbed it gently with his thumb before grabbing it gently and setting it in my lap.

I heard some footsteps, and Stan walked back in with two uniformed officers. One stopped at the door and just kind of stood there, looking around the room. He seemed nervous.

"Craig Tucker, I'm Officer Jefferson." The other officer said as he stood on the left side of the bed. "How are you feeling?"

"Better. I'm just glad my friends are safe."

"Good to hear you're doing okay. Can you tell us what happened?" He said as he pulled out a notepad and pen from his pocket.

I nodded as Tweek rubbed my back and stood up, making his way back over to Stan. "The first thing I remember was hearing that window break. I was on the couch looking at my phone when it happened. I looked over the back of the couch and saw that this fat guy in a full black outfit was trying to make his way up the stairs. He was on the bottom step when I stood up and ran over to him, tackling him." I shook my head and chuckled. "It didn't even phase that fucker. He grabbed me and wrestled me back over to the floor next to the couch. That's when I recognized him. I tried to get him off of me but he grabbed the vase that was on the table and he smashed it over my head."

I gingerly touched the bandages on my head, wincing at the touch. "I kept fighting back and he stabbed me in the side. That's when I heard Stan make his way down the stairs, and it must have spooked him so he took off and unlocked the door, and Stan followed him out of the house."
