▍"IMEXCITED."Jimin boasts, holding the bag of expensive movie theatre popcorn to his chest as Yoongi chooses some candy for them to share. Their first date is the movie theatre and then they're going to go out to eat, Jimin is ecstatic but a little nervous. He's trying to tell himself that their first date won't be much different than them hanging out like usual.
"I'm glad." Yoongi chuckles back as Jimin hands him his half of the money to pay for the terribly expensive movie theatre snacks. Once they have their tickets and their food, Yoongi turns to smile at Jimin, their bodies close together, nothing but the popcorn between them and Jimin thinks he's about to kiss him, their noses almost touching except the worst possible thing happens.
"So this is why you two didn't want to hang out with us today."
They jump back from each other to of course see their five friends together, raised eyebrows.
"What are you guys doing here?" Yoongi asks as Jimin's cheeks burn up with embarrassment. He's not ready for everyone to know they're together like this, not yet at least when they're still in a trial period.
"We're going to see a movie, we invited you guys to hang out but you didn't want to come... guess you were planning to see a movie, too." Namjoon says looking between them and Yoongi glances over at Hoseok who raises his eyebrows back at him.
"Jimin and I were planning to go see this horror movie for a while, I never realized you guys would be coming here as well." Yoongi states.
"Why don't we all watch it together? Won't that be fun?" Jeongguk asks happily and the others nod in agreement.
"Sounds... great." Jimin fake smiles, realizing their date is being interrupted by their very own personal cockblocks.
The other five cheer as they go to line up and grab their tickets and popcorn while Jimin and Yoongi wait by the wall, whispering to each other. "Some date huh?" Yoongi asks, lips twitching into an amused smile.
