Epilogue

2 years after BTS's comeback

"Come on Y/N, you're my last hope. Please. It's an one time thing. I'll owe you one." the girl's voice at the other side of the phone echoed in Y/N's head. She sighed giving up. "Fine. But it's not gonna be easy to pay me back you know. I'll be there as soon as I can." she hung up the phone and started packing some necessary things. Few minutes later she gave a quick look at herself in the mirror next to the front door of her apartment. She winked at herself and left. She drove all the way to the center of the city, hamming the lyrics of the newest song playing on the radio. She was finally able to smile after all she went through few years ago. She had decided to let go of the past. She had a date later that day that's why she was refusing to help her friend. She wanted to be physically and emotionally ready for such an event. She got lost trying to find the right street. She pulled over and opened her phone typing on it and the GPS started talking helping her around this strange neighborhood filled with tall buildings. She finally found the right place and drove off to the parking lot.
She called her friend again asking her where should she go. "Oh, I already left but I guess the right room is on the 5th floor. You can ask around if you're having trouble finding it." was all that Jennie said before hanging up. She scoffed and got out of the car grabbing her stuff and headed to the elevator. She received a text and after pressing the 5th floor, she took out her phone to check it.

*Hey. What's up?

She felt her stomach fill with butterflies. She knew him for a couple of months now. Although they were both trying to hold back and refuse at every given chance that they had feelings for each other, because their friendship had grew enough to make them question if it was worth it to complicate things with deeper feelings, so  Hyunjin few nights ago had a blind date with another woman his mother suggested. When he arrived at the restaurant, he saw the woman standing alone outside the place and he wished it was Y/N. He thought for a while before approaching her and then they went inside to have their date. They actually had fun but all he could think about while asking questions this unfamiliar woman, was his friend. So he thanked her for joining him and explained how he felt. Later that night he decided to visit Y/N, and finally express how he felt even if that meant he was going to lose her at some point. She went to her apartment and found her half drunk. He stayed with her until she fell asleep. He realised on the way that if he ever confessed to her, he wanted her to be sober. So he put her to bed and caressed her cheek and gave her a soft kiss on the forehead. She opened her eyes, waking up by the constant motion around her and saw him there. His face close to hers as it has never been before. She looked into his eyes and reached her hand and pulled him down next to her. He slowly moved under the bedsheets and placed his hand around her neck and the other kept caressing her cheeks. They never broke eye contact. "Hyunjin.." she mumbled and he pulled her closer to his embrace. "Shhh.. I know. Me too. Now sleep". The sudden beep from the elevator arriving to the 5th floor brought her back from her daydreaming. She collected herself and her emotions and walked out and started looking for the makeup room. Few people were passing her by and some were running around screaming at their earpiece. She searched around when she decided to ask someone but there was no one left around. She heard some laughter from a room and decided to knock and ask. She slowly opened the door and excused herself for bothering. Then the room became silent and she felt uncomfortable. "Y/N?" a voice from the back of the room said. She then noticed that the room was filled with mirrors and bright lights. She searched for the voice that spoke and in her attempt to find that person, she saw everyone in the room. Frozen, next to the door she just walked in, was Seokjin. Holding a hairbrush as a mic, but there was no voice coming out of anyone's mouth anymore. She saw him and she felt a tight knot on her stomach, right there where the butterflies lived few minutes ago. His eyes teary, he placed the brush on the table next to him and fixed his position to a normal one. Then Jimin came forward and took her hand. "It's been a while, right?" and placed a soft kiss on her cheek then motioned for the rest of the guys to leave her and Jin alone as they didn't break eye contact for not even a second since their eyes met. "I thought I'd never see you again" he stated after the room was finally empty. A single tear dropped from her eyes and he unconsciously took her into his arms. "Jin.." she said and he instantly let go of her. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything Y/N" he said and tears appeared in his cheeks as well. She took his hands in hers and pulled him down with her  at the couch behind them. She caressed his hands and looked into his eyes and smiled. He lowered his head when she froze and stopped caressing his hands. Her fingers lingered on the cold metal on his right hand. A bittersweet smile along with a tear escaping her eye, and she looked down at their intertwined hands. A golden ring in his ring finger. She looked back at him. He refused to lift his head and face her. He felt horrible like he somehow betrayed her. "It's okay Seokjin" she said and lifted his head up with her fingers. Their eyes met again. "We have a kid together. It wasn't meant to be this way, but I have feelings for her. No one knows about it. Just certain people in the company and the guys. His name is Jungkook" he said and pulled his phone out to show her a picture of his 1 year old son. She looked through the pictures of his child and she knew that he was going to be prettier than his dad, if that's even possible. Through the pictures there was one with the three of them. "Her name is Yerin" she smiled at him. "I'm so happy for you Seokjin. I'm glad you could built a family for yourself." he grabbed her hands and looked into her teary eyes again. "You know I'd give anything to turn back time, right?" both of them crying their eyes out. "I loved you Y/N and I'll always will." he said and their foreheads connected. "I'll always love you too Seokjin."

Eventually Y/N talked with Jennie and it appeared like Jennie had no idea about Jin's life. And that was an attempt of hers like countless others to bring Jin back to Y/N's life. She eventually did. Not the way she wanted to but now they all hang out when there's time. They all let go of the past and all together visited Jungkook's grave every year together. Singing to him and telling him everything about their lives.

As for Y/N's date that night, she went. And she told Hyunjin the truth she was hiding. About how she knew the famous BTS, what happened that night, and finally how she felt about Jin. That she will always love him but that doesn't mean her feelings for him weren't real. "I'll make sure that no one will hurt you. And if I ever do hurt you in any way, you're free to break up with me. I've been hiding so long my feeling that I'll do anything to make sure you'll love me, too. All I want is to make you happy and be happy with you for a long time." that was his answer after a silent drive back to her apartment after the date. And that's all she wanted to hear.
He bend a little and while caressing her cheek he gave her the softest kiss on the lips finally  closing the distance between them.

Soooo, that's it. You can finally remove it from your library. No more chapters for this one. I really wanted to give a happy end to Y/N and Jin, but I think that this was better? I don't know. I like it more this way. They're good, they're back to each others lives but I don't believe that having a real relationship after what happened, would have worked out. I know it's fiction and I could have just written whatever I wanted, but I really think that love doesn't always have to end in a romantic relationship or if things go the wrong way that we should hate the other person. We can still love and care for him without being in love and in a relationship. And after all, come on, it's Hyunjin...
