"Okay. Go. Defend him."

Chapter 18

JAEMIN.

I frowned as I heard her rejected him. How could she do that? I almost jumped out of my position when I heard a soft sob beside me. It was Yna.

What the?

"What are you crying at?" I asked as I look at her up and down. Her arm is on her eyes, hiding her tears from everyone. Meanwhile, her other hand is holding a paper bag. A moist paper bag.

She didn't answer. Instead, her sob just went louder.

"Can you stop?"

She harshly wiped her tears before looking at me. "What's your problem with me, huh?"

"You're being noisy as I expected."

She rolled her eyes. "What do you care?"

"Who told you that I care?"

The girl paused for a second. Later on, she sobbed again. "All of you! All of the boys in the world are rude to me."

My eyes widened. "Woah! Stop generalizing all of the boys in the world. Don't put us all the blame."

"All I want is to be loved by him." she bit her lip and looked up at me. I was taken a back when she pointed me with her finger. "You! Don't you ever try to tell this to anyone! Are we clear?"

I slowly nodded.

She put the paper bag on my hand before she turned her back from me and marched towards the hallway. That girl is crazy.

I peeked on the paper bag that she gave me and saw something.

A hazelnut milktea.

"Shoot!" I almost fell when the door where I was leaning suddenly opened. Luckily, I held tightly to the wall and managed myself to stand up fast.

"Hey!" I greeted to Lia.

"J–Jaemin..." she looked scared. "Sorry for making you wait."

I grinned. "It's fine. I just want to tell you that the maintenance called me and asked for my help. I'm sorry but I couldn't review you for the quiz next week. Maybe next time?"

She bit her nails. "C–Can I come with you?"

I mentally laughed. "Uh... no. I'm sorry, Lia."

She smiled sadly. "Okay..."

"Bye."

"Bye."

Before I left the room, I glanced at Winwin who is staring coldly at me. If only glares could kill, then I am probably in the pit by now.

-

LIA.

It was Saturday morning. No classes. No quizzes. No stress. I was awakened by mom's continuous knocks on my door. I weakly stood up from my bed and lazily went in front of the door. I annoyingly opened it. My eyes are still half open when I recognized the person standing in front of me.

"W–Winwin..."

"Surprise?" he cooed.

"W–What are you doing here?" I stuttered. My heart jumped as he roam his eyes around my room. "May I come in?" he asked me.

"No." I answered.

"Ouch!"

"What are you doing here?" I simply combed my hair that looked electrified. He just chuckled and handed me a paper bag.

"What is this?"

"Breakfast."

I scoffed. "Seriously? You spent your money just for my breakfast." she rolled her eyes. "You've just wasted your money on me, Winwin."

He remained standing outside your room, respecting the boundary between you two. Lia is still shocked about the sudden appearance of her friend. She's secretly pinched her skin to check whether she's dreaming or not. But obviously, she's not.

"Mom told me to call you. She asked me to wake you up." he told her. But she is just too mesmerized about the fact that he's here. Here in front of her.

"Come one, Lia. I know that you're already hungry."

-

Lia moved sideward to maintain the distance with Winwin. After they ate their breakfast, Lia sat on the couch to watch movies. However, Winwin followed her from behind and sat beside her. Now, she doesn't want to be close to him. She remembers the days when they used to do this. This bonding they're having today.

"You're really going to prove that thing to me, yeah?"

She glanced at him and looked back again to the television.

"Aish! Stop doing this, Lia."

She ignored him.

"Tss... it seems like you've already found a new one who is better than me." he smirked. When she switched her gaze to him, he looked away.

"W–Winwin..."

"I think I have to go..."

"WINWIN!" she warned him.

"Just call me if you need someone that is just good, not a better one like him." he attempted to walk away but she stopped him.

"CAN YOU PLEASE– CAN YOU PLEASE GET YOUR ASS DOWN HERE?"

He eyed her like a hawk. "Where did you learn to speak like that, huh? To that Na freaking Jaemin?"

"WINWIN!"

"Okay. Go. Defend him."

"Please stop." she sighed. "Just stop. Okay?"

He bit his lip. "Are you mad?"

She shook her head. "No."

"Do you want me to stay?"

"Yes."

He smirked. "Alright~"

The whole day day were watching, a wide grin was plastered on Winwin's face. Lia ignored it. She missed it, anyway. She just missed seeing this kind of Winwin. A naughty and windy Winwin.
