CHAPTER NINETEEN - DARK WISH, PART 2

𝓣𝙰𝙽𝙽𝙴𝚁

"OH, NO." Madison exclaimed. "The Rock Porium!" Xander said. We all watched in disbelief as we saw Toby. "Toby?" Vida questioned. Toby headed over to us. "Hey, guys." Toby started off. We all chuckled. "I was worried about you. I thought that... who are those two?" Toby asked, looking over to where Nick and I were.

"What?" Madison asked as all of us laughed. "At least he's still got his sense of humor." Nick said. "You really had us worried there, Toby." I added. We all laughed again. "No, seriously, who are those two?" Toby asked again.

"Toby, what happened to Rock Porium? What happened to all the color?" Vida asked. "You— You're trying to mess with me. You don't remember how the darkness took over?" Toby asked. We all looked confused.

"Four months ago." Toby said. "Guys, something's happened. The world as we know it has changed. Four months ago is when I first came to Briarwood, and we became... you know who." Nick said. "That makes sense. I didn't come to Briarwood until a month after. And I was well... evil." I added. "Hey, guys, do you hear? I got... music." Toby started off as he played music.

"I still have to listen to it, even though it's been banned." Toby explained. "Banned music? Toby, who banned it?" Chip asked. That's when a dark circle suddenly showed up and a few foot soldiers grabbed Toby.

"Hey, they can't do that!" Nick said as we watched one of the foot soldiers crush the music player. "Let's Ranger up." Nick informed. All of us went to grab our morphers but they were gone. Almost like they never existed.

"I understand now. This was my vision. A world where Power Rangers never existed. That was the wish..." I think to myself. "Our morphers." Xander said. The foot soldiers went passed us. "We'd better get to Root Core." Nick informed. "Yeah." Vida agreed as the rest of us followed him.

Nick tried to go through the tree but he ended up being thrown back. There was no magic portal to take us. We ended up having to take the long way through the forest until we stopped at Root Core. Though the dragon head wasn't lively like it always was. It was dead and dull.

"No. No!" Chip said. Vida grabbed onto Madison's shoulder. She looked like she was about to cry any minute. We stepped towards the dragon head. Xander picked up a piece of a magic book. "What happened here?" Xander asked.

"What happened everywhere." Nick corrected him. "Get away from here! My home. Get away. Mine. Go, go!" Udonna said. "Udonna, don't you remember us? You taught us everything we know. We're the Power Rangers. We're the Mystic Force." Madison reminded her.

"Liars. The legendary ones never came. I waited for them. They never came. Only the darkness, Only the darkness." Udonna said. Suddenly, Clare came up. "There you are I've been looking ev—" She stopped when she saw us. We all laughed nervously.

"Who are you? So you better not try and harm us." Clare informed. "Clare, we would never harm you." Xander stated. "You know my name? You must be one of them!" Clare accused. "No. I'm not one of them. None of us are, believe me. We're your friends." Chip told her.

"Clare, it's the truth. Listen, please tell us what happened. What happened to Briarwood? What happened to Root Core? What happened to you and Udonna?" Nick asked. "Don't you know what happened? There's no more good magic in the world." Clare replied.
