Chapter 23

The next day at the office you looked after Toshirōs wounds.

„You really don't have to do it.", he said apathetically.

„What are you talking about? I really care for your wellbeing, Hitsugaya-taichou. And in addition it was my fault afterall.", you replied blushed.

„Want to go for a walk? I guess we could need a break from all these paperwork.", he asked with a cool tone.

„Sure.", you grinned shy, your face turning red.

While strolling around next to Toshirō you saw a stall which sells gigantic watermelons. They were a lot bigger than any biggest you've ever seen before.

„Wow! They're so gigantic. Are they as tasty as big they are?", you asked fascinated.

„I'll buy it for you. Just pick one.", Toshirō offered with a warm vioce.

"Nooo, I can't assume that!", you blushed.

„I know that you don't have money since you're first month of working is done, so just let me buy it for you.", he ordered.

You succumed to his order and picked the biggest watermelon with a big grin. Your grin lowers when you heard Toshirō laughing. You looked confused at him, 'cause you've never heard or seen his laughter before.

„What's so funny?", you asked distracted.

„The watermelon even looks more bigger when you're holding it. I didn't notice that you're such a pipsqueak.", he smirked.

„I'm not a pipsqueak!", you pouted.

„Don't mind, it's cute.", he said in a cool tone.

„Well, you're not much taller than me", you replied pouting.

„But tall enough for you", he smirked while whatching you with a sexy sight.

He made a step to come closer to you, he stopped only a few inches infront of your face, whatching you with his cool emeral eyes. Your heart began to race and you couldn't prevent blushing.

„Let me carry this for you.", he just took the watermelon from your arms.

You followed him shy and you went to your room. You offered him to partake the watermelon and you ate it together. The white-haired boy told you that watermelon is his favourite food and when he was a child he spit the kernels at Hinamori. You felt really sorry for her, but when you imagined Toshirō doing it you just found it kind of adoreable. You catched yourself by starring at him, then your face turned red instantly.

„Do you have a fever?", he asked worried while touching your forhead gently.

"No, I don't think so. I'm fine!.", you replied with a faked grin trying to hide your pudency.

He let off of you.

„I hope so, I need you at work.", he smirked.

A really extciting feeling came through your stomach, like thousand butterflys fliying around in it. You could feel your heartbeat as clear as never before. You didn't know what to say so you just grinned to him like a fool. Fortunately Toshirō stood up and left to look for Matsumoto, she didn't did any work this day.

„I hope she isn't drunk again.", he sighed while leaving.

You stayed at home 'cause he wanted you to take the rest of the day for free time.

While trying to drug out for work, Matsumoto hid in different places of Seireitei. Suddenly she noticed a fantastic smell and followed it while jumping on a tree. The smell came out of a window. You cooked a great meal with opened window. Rangiku stalked you while hiding behind the leaves of the tree. Suddenly Toshirō found her and jumped to sit to her side.

„Matsumoto..-"

„Pssst!", Rangiku cut him off.

Then you noticed them.

„You two can come in and eat with me, if you want!", you said with an offering smile.

Toahirō blushed: „No, Matsumoto has to-"

„Reeeally? I would love to!", Rangiku cut him off while she jumped through the window to land in your kitchen.

You three guys ate together and loughed a lot. Apart from Toshirō.. He just got more annoyed of the increasing work, which even got worse, 'cause of Matsumoto's laziness. So he reminded her to do it fast. She tooked the next best chance and flew through the window.

„MATSUMOTO!!"

It was too late.. She was gone..

„If you don't mind I'll finish up her work.", you offered.

„But I've ordered you to spend a free day.", he pouted.

„It's okay, just let me do it.", you replied with a cute smile.

„Allright, but don't overwork!", he sighed.

After you've finished up a mountain of paperwork you fell asleep, the head lying on the desk. Toshirō picked you up like a princess and carried you to his bed in the next room. He laid you down gently and kissed you on your forehead. He wanted to sleep on the couch, so you could sleep well. But while sleeping you grapped his arm when he wanted to leave. There was no chance for him you'd let him go, so he laid down by your side. You two fell asleep while cuddling.
