CH.7 The Past Of A Couple

The wailing of a baby could be heard as a placed her head on a blondes shoulder who held the wailing baby girl wrapped in a pink towel "Haruhi...that's a nice name" the blonde said smiling down at her "she's so cute..." the bluenette whispered as the girl held onto her father's fingers sleeping soundly in his arms.

A few after Haruhi was born her parents died in a car accident unfortunately with her living in her Grandfather makarovs custody.

I looked at Haruhi who sat with Ur chatting away with her group of friends the sound of laughter coming from their table "they must be having a lot of fun" Free said looking over at them "It's nice seeing Haruhi smile" Silver said staring at her who teased Amaya about something "looking at her you wouldn't believe that she doesn't have parents" Naku said I looked at him "w-what?" I ask surprised turning to him "don't you know? haruhi dreyar's principle Makarov's Great Granddaughter his grandson laxus dreyar met his wife juvia lockser right at this high school a few years after Haruhi was born they died in a car accident he's been taking care of her ever since" Naku replied "rumour has it her grandfather Ivan isn't fit to take care of her since he does drugs and is an alcohol addict" Free said leaning over the table "rumour also has it he's been coming to their house wanting his granddaughter" Silver added she must have it hard with everything going on in her life I felt her presence in front of me as I watched her walk past her ocean blue eyes meeting my olive green eyes walking past me with Amaya.

this continued on with our occasional eye contact acknowledging the other's presence even when she got bullied I happen to walk past and her sad pleading ocean blue eyes would look at me but I like everyone else didn't act on it or make a move to stop it Haruhi seemed more lively with her friends we never really officially spoke just acknowledged the other's presence she hung out with Amaya and Ur when the other girls weren't with her I guess they don't always hang out in a big group and give each other space and have their own best friend but still maintaining a close friendship with the others often switching between friends and mostly hanging out with their best friend I guess her best friend is both Amaya and Ur since she's mostly hanging out with her I thought while walking past the three girls smiling and giggling while discussing something.

it continued on until my friends Naku and Silver made me by pushing me toward her and Amaya who sat under a sakura tree talking with an open book on Haruhi's lap "where's ur?" Amaya asks "she's probably in the library with ren working on a project" Haruhi replied the two gave each other a knowing look "I wonder how scarlet would feel if she found out" Amaya said "you two need to get a proper introduction" silver said from behind me pushing me towards her a sakura blossom petal fell on haruhi's book "don't throw it away it's a symbol of luck" Amaya said stopping Haruhi from throwing the petal away "Amaya you-" "ow! my foot!" I yelled as Naku stepped on my toe "are you ok?" Haruhi asks right in front of me "yep I'm ok" I said she glared at Naku who acted like that whole situation just didn't happen "Naku Fernandes that was just rude! I would expect this from Silver but not you what's wrong with you?" haruhi scolded placing her hands on her hips "I don't know what you're talking about" Naku said innocently "idiot..." she said shaking her head at him "I am severely disappointed in you" Amaya said despite the situation we had a proper introduction.

I slowly started to learn more about her and noticing small habits of hers such as a twinkle of happiness whenever she's excited or fidgeting when she's really nervous or rubbing at her eyes before tears of sadness stream down her cheek and not being able to stay still once she's impatient or not being able to look someone in the eye when she's lying over the years I even came to know that principle Makarov's son Ivan indeed does bother her.

the closer I got to Haruhi the more I felt weird around her after realizing I loved her more than a friend I decided to man up and tell her when...

Naku like always was with haruhi those two started to hangout out with each other more than before that's when I figured she really did Naku so I decided to stay away from her just so my best friend could get a chance with her I completely forgot naku also had a crush on her yet it broke my heart to see them together even though I was the one ignoring her even carla her exceed came to talk to me about my ignorance haruhi stopped trying to talk to me she gave me the same treatment and it bothered me I know it shouldn't have since I started it but it really bothered how she never tried to talk to me or tried to hangout with me.
Then one day she appeared on my way home with tears streaming down her pink cheeks the pinkness spread from her nose and cheek haruhi looked like she ran a marathon haruhi walked up to me and slapping me across the cheek "what's wrong with you igneel?" Haruhi asks "nothing there's nothing wrong with me" I replied "then why have you been ignoring me?" She asks "naku told me everything I-" "if you're here to reject me then I already know that you love naku not me" I said interrupting her "what gave you that idea? I only veiw Naku as a brother that I've never had" haruhi said surprising me "so you don't see naku in a romantic way?" I ask she nodded her head "No igneel I see you in a romantic way" Haruhi replied what happened that day really made my day turned out it was all in my head and naku meant it in a friendly way soon I became her boyfriend and I never regretted my decision ever since haruhi was a great girlfriend...

one day everything changed for her Principle Makarov was dead though she cried the loudest since Haruhi's grandfather Ivan also died months earlier even after everything he did haruhi and principle Makarov cried I guess they had some love for him though now she doesn't have any family left.

after that day Haruhi changed she became sadder and locked herself in her room or either kept to herself it took her a while for me to help her pick herself up I guess it's hard when the only family you have left is gone but in the end she was back to herself though I did catch her gazing behind herself probably waiting for him to call her she learnt to move on.

after 10 whole years of dating and graduating uni/college I proposed to her I remember that day like it was yesterday Haruhi had tears of happiness running down her cheek and her hands over her mouth before nodding a few months later I became married to her it was the happiest day of my life it only seemed to get better from there I couldn't seem to ever stop loving waking up to her face next to me or the feeling of haruhi right sleeping peacefully right next to me if I ever woke up earlier than her I'd burn the image into my brain and brush my hand against her soft fair cheeks which would blush a barely noticeable pink years later nothing changed not even the feelings it feels like the first day of dating her again.

now she's missing and in a parallel world at that I turned on the bed I miss her warmth and Haruhi oh how I so badly want to hug her and hold her like there's no tomorrow I sighed I will get you back to here I promise I'm not going to let you go through the same pain of losing someone again I let the tears escape falling asleep soon.
