Patrick's p.o.v

He told me everything was going to be alright.

And it was.

This was the day that I was meant to leave the country.

To leave for my dad's new job and to leave everyone behind.

The vivid memory of my most treasured person clutching my sweaty hands in his, calmly repeating "it's going to be okay" was all I needed.

I remember the day like it was yesterday.

But it was fine.

We never had to move.

But now every single day I get to spend with him, is another day of my life made worth it.

I really couldn't ask for anything more.
