"You're hurting me."
"Shut up."
The alley was dark, the moon providing the only light. It outlined the men's faces- one was middle aged, his face rough with stubble and heavy lines. He wore a cap on his head, covering most of his dark, disheveled hair. The other was younger, late twenties maybe, and he had more of a baby face. His cheeks were pink in the cold December night, and he had little to no lines littering his face. His hair was dyed dark green (at least, it looked dark) and it was quiffed up.
I struggled against the older man's grip on my hair, feeling my heartbeat in my throat. The guy and his friend chuckled as the one holding my hair yanked it backwards, causing me to squeal. They both laughed.
"Hey, where'd Ashton get to? Pretty sure he was supposed to-"
In a split second, he stopped talking. A low, malicious growl resonated throughout the alley. I squeezed my eyes shut, as I tried to control my breathing. I opened them eventually, slowly looking up to see a larger-than-life wolf, sliver fur and long fangs dripping with crimson blood. Each drop felt like a ring in my ears as they hit the thick pool rapidly forming at it's feet.
The large beast took each step with care. Tears pricked at my eyes- I'd be closer to death before, yet this somehow felt much more real. I whimpered then screamed as the guy holding my hair pulled me back and pinned me against the wall by my throat. I gasped, rapidly trying to breathe as the air was stolen from my lungs. My feet no longer touched the floor, my weak frame lifting effortlessly in his grasp.
My small hands gripped his large one and I tried to scratch him, pull him off me, anything to stop him from clogging my airways. I had little strength left, my nails blunt and bloody.
The sizeable animal barked and it rang in my ears. I heard the stranger grunt, as if trying to hide the fear written plainly on his rough face. His grip tightened on my throat, a silent plea leaving my lips.
"Leave us or she dies!" He roared at it, taking a defensive stance while still holding my throat. Black spots danced in my vision, everything from the shoulders down slowly going numb. My hands fell against the wall, not having the energy to wince at the harsh impact.
With teeth bared, the creature shot towards the other man. The guy screamed, the sound ripping through his throat. Running towards the other end of the alley, his face clouded with desperation as he tried to outrun the beast bounding after him. The creature sprung forward as it pounced on the man, its front two paws landing on his shoulder blades. I heard a crack and he wailed, the sound ricocheting of the walls.
"What the fuck...?" It felt like a distant whisper as darkness took over me, clogging my ears and taking my sight. I couldn't feel a thing, as the light faded more and more, and as screaming became silence, I felt my body hit the floor.

"Hey miss, can you hear me? Can you tell me your name?" Bright light engulfed my vision, causing me to squint. I shut my eyes, shifting my shoulders but stopping once a sharp pain shot up my spinal cord.
"She's responsive." I heard a woman's voice. A paramedic, I presume. I opened my eyes and saw two paramedics, a man and a woman, with a guy who looked older than me holding his bandaged shoulder behind them. He looked concerned for me, even though I had never seen him before in my life. I sat up slowly, with the help of the paramedics. The sight around me looked different, probably because it was daylight. It also felt different- the pungent scent of death surrounded my nose and I grimaced.
I remembered the man who ran down the alleyway, he was now headless, his blood sprayed on the wall with his head on the floor by it. Terror still plain on his features. The other guy however, he was strung up... In several different parts.
Torso in the middle, his two legs behind it and his feet further behind them. His arms spread out either side of his torso, his hands further apart from that. Each finger had been cut off and strung up apart from the hands. Each piece was connected to the next with a piece of thin wire. His head deemed to be the most terrifying. His eyes had been gouged out, blood still dripping from his mouth, despite being a good seven hours since. The eyes couldn't be found.
I put my hand over my mouth, my empty stomach not being able to produce anything more than saliva. I coughed it up, saliva now dripping off my hands and mouth, onto the pavement. I wiped my hand and felt my face. Cracked blood stuck to my cheeks. I scrubbed it off with the sleeve of my sweater, quickly wanting to remove the memory. I sat there, traumatised, hoping this was all a dream.
"Hey, you ok?" I looked up to see the boy from earlier, still holding his shoulder. I hadn't realised the paramedics had left, only now noticing them talking to a police officer.
"Who are you?" I questioned, skeptical. I didn't remember seeing him here last night, or any time before that. He chuckled.
"The name's Todd, nice to meet you." He held out the hand that wasn't holding his damaged shoulder and I hesitantly shook it. "Don't worry, I won't bite." I looked up at him in distaste.
"Crude." I muttered. He raised his eyebrow.
"What you saying there, little girl?" My face twisted.
"Don't call me that," He held his hand up in mock surrender, his tousled black hair an unkempt mess on his head. "It's crude given what happened last night." His eyebrow raised further.
"And what happened?"
"Are you a cop?" He chuckled and rolled his eyes.
"Don't avoid the question-"
"Don't avoid mine." I was becoming increasingly more agitated with this guys presence, and I think he could tell, for he took a deep breath and looked at me seriously.
"I'm not a cop, I'm a student." I raised my eyebrow.
"A little old to be a student, don't you think?" He puffed his cheeks out with a sigh.
"God, you Americans," He was quick to clear his throat once he noticed my glare, "How old do you think I am?"
"Around 20." I said. He sniggered.
"I'm 16." My eyes widened as I bit my lip. He chuckled darkly.
"I didn't mean-"
"Now little girl," He said with a small smirk, "Want to tell me what happened last night?"
