The Doctor's head pounded as she struggled to open her eyes. Her head felt clouded, like she couldn't remember where she was or what she'd been doing.

All at once she came around, her eyes snapping open. She tried to stand up from her sitting position, only to pull against chain restraints. She fought against them for a few seconds before sighing and slumping in the uncomfortable metal chair.

A female scientist, with deep purple skin, stepped out of the darkened corner of the room and closer to the Doctor.

"Who are you? Where's Yaz?!"

The scientist circled the Doctor, examining her through narrow eyes.

"We've taken her, you know, for collateral," she smirked, extending a hand and caressing the Doctors cheek.

"I've heard so many stories about you. 'The man of many faces' they call you. I suppose that title is outdated now though," she laughed, sitting down on the Doctor's lap.

The blonde squirmed as she did so, fighting against the scientist with no prevail.

"Why am I chained up?" The Doctor complained, staring down the woman with a scowl on her face.

She laughed again in response, the sound filling up the painfully silent room.
"Because we were warned about you," she said simply, shrugging her shoulders.

"How's that fair? What have I done?" The Doctor puffed.

"So many questions," she laughed, biting her purple lip and standing up.
"I was told that you would eventually find out about our... project, and would really not approve. I was hoping to convince you otherwise."

"So you kidnapped Yaz and chained me up? Brilliant." The Doctor replied sarcastically.
"And what did you mean by collateral? For what?"

"You seem very fond of this 'Yaz'," she pointed out, eyebrow raised.
"I know that you're planning to release the vermin back into their natural habitat, but I can't let you do that. So I'll be happy to let you leave with your friend if you swear that you'll leave the dinosaurs in our captivity."

The Doctor sighed, "fine."

"Well. I really wasn't expecting that to be your answer!" The scientist beamed, pulling a key out of her pocket and removing the chains.

Frowning at the simplicity of their deal, the Doctor checked her pockets to find that everything was still in place.

"You do realise," she explained, "that this conversation would of happened a lot more quickly if you didn't drug and chain me up?"

"Yes. But I had to take precautions."

She rolled her eyes before asking one more time, "where is Yaz?"

"Just through here," the scientist replied, somewhat annoyed at the reunion to come, knowing that she wouldn't have the Doctor to herself anymore. She opened the door to reveal Yaz sat on the floor in a ball. The room was restricted of all light, so her eyes took a minute to adjust.

"Doctor?" She said quietly, her voice wavering. She stood up and rushed toward the Doctor, pulling her into a hug.

The blonde returned the hug with equal enthusiasm. As they pulled away, her hands lingered on Yaz's shoulders. She instinctively cupped the sides of her face and pulled her into a deep kiss.
