Chapter 23: Thirteen Years Later

December 30, 2036

A lot has happened in 13 years. First Y/N retired and Greg took over as CEO of Eternal Entertainment, Y/N goes in once and a while to produce music but its very rare. His fans were disappointed that Y/N retired but no major problems broke out over it. While primarily still living in Seoul, Y/N also purchased a summer home along the Jersey Shore so his girls can also experience a taste of where he grew up. Y/N and the twins have managed to stay out of the news almost entirely, only really being brought up in reports regarding Rosie. A few years after the twins were born, Blackpink split apart. No over anything bad, they all just wanted different things. Rosie is a solo artist under UMGA now, Jisoo has become an actress/model and is the star of the biggest Korean drama series, The Bold and the Beautiful, Lisa opened her own dance academy where she teaches teens and young adults, and Jennie became a stay at home mom after her and Greg's son Chester was born in 2026. Every now and then Jennie will do a modeling job but, like Y/N's producing, it's rare. Lisa and Jax got married around the same time as Chester was born and Jax is still a member of PARANOIA who are stronger than ever. Trinity eventually broke up after a bunch of infighting. Jeannie got picked up by Shady Records after moving to the states, Soyeon is under JYP, and Minnie is under UMGA still but left Eternal. Lee became the CEO of UMGA after the previous one retired.

The now 13-year-old twins, having grown up watching their mother perform and hearing the stories of their father and aunts all performing, both want to become musicians and have been learning to sing and dance for almost a decade. They both attend their aunt Lisa's dance academy and are consistently at the top of their class. Between the two, Robin tends to be the better dancer and Piper is the better singer. This past Christmas was a big one for them as their Aunt Lee surprised them by allowing both of them to become trainees with UMGA, but that won't start for another week or so.

Y/N POV

"Girl's come on we can't be late!" I yell up the stair as I get my coat on next to the door. We are on our way to the annual UMGA showcase that Lee started a few years ago as a marketing strategy to display all the UMGA artists, and Eternal was given their own stage which Greg was in charge of. He has been hyping up the release of his new song with the promise of a "special guest feature" but has refused to say who it was. Rosie and I knew, but the twins didn't and neither did the rest of the world so I'm excited to see their reaction.

"Piper! Robin! If your both not down here and have your coats on in the next 5 seconds you're both in big trouble!" Rosie shouted up the stairs as she walks out of the living room wearing my old University of Michigan hoodie, looking adorable.

"5!" She shouts.

"We're coming! We're coming!" I hear Piper say as she and her sister appear at the top of the stairs. Robin bouncing on one foot to finish putting her boot on. They both come down the stair and grab their coats and head outside to the car.
