The movie was fun, if uneventful. Q and I finished our drink halfway through the move and sat, hands intertwined in one anothers' until the end of the film. Once the lights went back on in the theater, Q burst into quiet giggles. "What?" I asked. Q covered his mouth with one hand and pointed with the other. Unbeknownst to us, during the movie, Sal had indeed fallen asleep. Barbara was on one side of him, and Joe was on the other. Joe had used the time in the darkened theater to liberally decorate Sals' head, shoulders, and lap with popcorn and the playing cards from the prop bag. I quickly pulled out my cell phone and snapped a couple of photos. Q, Murr, Joe and the other girls were doing the same. Sal slept through it all. "He really would sleep through an earthquake," Q told us. Murr and Joe  nodded in agreement. Q leaned over Sal, held his phone up to Sal's ear, and pressed a button. A loud meow echoed through the theater, and Sal jerked out of his sleep, showering us with popcorn.

"What the-" Sal glanced at his lap, then at the guys. "Very funny. You guys are assholes, you know that?"

"Hey, we told you not to fall asleep!"

"Shut up, Joe," Sal grumbled. "I bet this was all your doing, wasn't it?"

Joe pasted an innocent look on his face. "Who, me? Never." He raised his eyebrows at the rest of us. "Are you sure you didn't do it to yourself? You do weird things in your sleep."

"Yeas Joe, I'm sure I didn't decorate myself like a freakin' popcorn ball in my sleep," Sal replied. Barbara plucked a piece of popcorn off Sal's shoulder and tossed it playfully at Joe. He caught it in his mouth. Sal stood up and brushed the popcorn back into the bag, then sheepishly turned to Barbara. "Did you enjoy the movie?"

"Very much so," she replied. "Did you enjoy your nap?"

Sal blushed, then yawned. "I'm sorry, guys. But I think I need to call it a day. I need a long nap..and a shower, now that I smell like butter." He looked at Barbara. "Is that alright with you? I don't have to drop you off right away, unless you want me to. You're welcome to hang at my place and watch tv or something."

"As long as you take your shoes off," Q reminded her teasingly. She laughed and slipped her hand into Sal's. "Well, I guess I'll see you guys around. This was so much fun. You guys are a blast." She and Sal turned and left the theater. Q turned to me. "Ready to follow suit? I have a feeling you'd like your car back at some point." I laughed. "Yeah, you're probably right." I looked at the remaining group. "You guys gonna split too?"

"Actually, I think we're gonna wander around a little more," Murr said. "Emily wants to go back to that cd store we were in earlier." Q nodded. "Cool, cool. Well, I guess we'll meet up with you guys later. See ya." He grabbed my hand. I waved to everyone, and we left the theater.

Once we got outside, Q turned to me. "So, time to get your car..and maybe some coffee?" I laughed. "Addict. It's ok, I am too." He smiled. "How else do you think I get all this boundless energy?"

"Drugs?"

Q pressed a finger to his lips. "Shhhh," he teased. "Don't go sullying my good name, now."

"Yeah, you've got Murr, Joe, and Sal to do that for you," I cracked.

"Damn right." We got to his car and took off.
