"I see you've made a deal with Elijah."

Elena jumped and gasped in shock, quickly turning around to see Allesandra sitting patiently on her bed. "Allesandra," She gulped.

She raised her brow, "Did you really think I wouldn't find out? The tomb becoming suddenly unsealed was a bit of a hint."

Elena looked worried then confidently stood her ground. "I wanted Stefan out of the tomb and he could give me that."

Allesandra shook her head and smiled. "I'm not mad, Elena."

Elena looked confused. "You're not?"

"Elijah is a nobleman who keeps his word as long as you keep yours," She said to the doppelganger. "And due to the fact that your side of the deal is staying alive and since I am here to ensure that, the deal will not be broken. So no, I'm not mad."

"So it's wise to trust Elijah then?" Elena questioned.

The nephalem thought before carefully answering. "All I am saying is that I wouldn't be against him. For now, he is providing you safety. But, I'm sure the Salvatore's will say something much different."

Elena sighed and ran her hands through her thick brunette hair. "They're going to kill me."

"Those boys will be the death of you," Allesandra tutted. "Speaking of, poor Damon. How is he holding up?"

Elena bit her lip before answering honestly. "He's mad at you. He thinks you should've saved her.

Allesandra scoffed in reply. "If I went around saving every vampire someone cares for there would be no humans left."

Elena nodded. " I understand that. He doesn't."

The nephalem clenched her jaw and stood up and slowly walked towards her. "I think you all have to understand that I am here to ensure that you stay alive and don't die in this ritual. No one else. People can't cheat death when it is their fate and this isn't yours, Elena."

Elena's eyes softened. "I appreciate that. But no life is worth living if everyone I love is dead. Have you ever had someone you love die?"

Allesandra's face was emotionless but her eyes conflicted as she thought of an answer. "I do not love, Elena. My purpose is to protect you, keep the balance and make sure his creations are doing good as he intended. So to answer your question, no. No one who I have loved has died."

"That's too sad for me to believe," Said the doppelganger with an empathetic frown.

"Maybe one day I'll find love," Allesandra replied with a faint smile. "But for now, that isn't my priority."

And with that, she flew away, leaving Elena to contemplate about the angel who hasn't loved.

"What can I do for you, Damon?" Questioned Allesandra who appeared in the elder Salvatore's bedroom after he prayed for her.

Damon turned to see her lying on his bed lazily. "Do you always make yourself comfortable in someone else's home?"

She shrugged, "Don't have one of my own so yes."

"So what you just prance around in heaven till you're summoned," He asked her sarcastically.

"Yeah, we all sleep on clouds," She snarked back and sat up. "Get to the point. What do you want?"

"John Gilbert told me about an old wives tale of how to kill an original," He then took an antique looking dagger out of his pocket. "With this dagger."
