-----The next morning.....
"Oh God.. Oh shit Oh"
Jessica's voice slowly came to focus and I was blinking a few times but my eye burned.
She came to focus, her eyes were wide with worry. Her nostrils flared a little when she exhaled deeply, her gaze studying me.
She was out of sight when she moved behind me, helped me shift off the floor and slipped her hands under my arms pits and helped into a sitting position.
I grimaced at the heat that spread on the left side of my face.
"I see blue." I mumbled unsure if the giant blue spot in my vision was normal.
"Ma'am are you okay?" The attendant was kneeling next to me and Jessica on my right.
I manage to look at both of them and he flinched, and Jessica was wide eye.
"What?" I tried touching my face but Jessica caught my hand and shook her head.
"We have to go." She nodded to the attendant and he slipped his arm undermine and they both helped me up.
I blinked and hissed, I could feel this bump on my cheek.
"Ma'am, we have to-" I know what he was worried about, whose fault was it.
"Really now is the time you want to worry about this. How about you make yourself useful open the fucking door and clear me a pathway."
I was actually astounded at Jessica's voice.
Kinda hot. Rude, but hot.
He stammered and walked ahead of us.
My feet felt weak, I fucking swear if I have a concussion.
She guided me and into the car and in the process of her running around to the driver side, I touched my face.
I felt it weird, like spongy but I could feel massive amount of fluid underneath.
Jessica got in and smacked my thigh, "Don't touch."
"How bad is it?" I tried again and she glared at me, at least I think she did.
I tried moving the visor down but she smacked it back up.
"I fucking swear Deanna." I swallowed hard and slowly placed my hands in my lap.
"We are going to the ER." I groaned, I hated the hospital.
"Can't we ice it and hope for the best." I tried smiling but the pulling of the muscle on my face made my cheek hurt.
My heart stopped as I realized where we were going and what exactly it entailed.
"Shit." I mumbled and now I was really worried.
How angry could my wife be when she realized I've had a big secret.
We've been dating for a while and get married instantly, I should have said something by now, or way sooner.
"Deanna I mean it." I hadn't responded so she assumed that's why I was hesitant.
I exhaled and started to mess with my hands.
"It's fine. I have insurance, it's just." I didn't even know how to continue.
"The batting cages is a bad place for us, last time I ended up hitting you with the bat." I smiled gently and nodded. She was trying to lift my spirits.
Luckily I had the helmet on that time, I had it on as well this time, but she made me turn around I don't recall now for what reason I stepped back into the square and boom a 65 mph baseball clocked me.
"I'm really sorry Deanna."
"Me too." I whispered.
