The ER was packed and I could feel everyone staring at me.

"I still see blue by the way." I turned my head to whisper into Jessica's ear.

We were waiting to get called to the window for admit.

This would be the only time I would hear Deanna.

I couldn't stop my legs from shaking and Jessica was getting more anxious the more I kept moving in my seat.

"It's gonna be okay." She rubbed my thigh and I knew she thought I was scared of what they might do.

All I could sense was that I had a giant bump below my eye, and one way they drained bumps filled with fluids was to cut them.

"Deanna Window 2" The intercom screamed over the coughs, sniffles and whining, I looked at the windows and Jessica stood up and led me.

"Deanna." The woman behind the glass asked.

Jessica pointed to me and I nodded.

"We just need the patient." Jessica was going to protest but she took a deep breath instead and nodded.

I watched her retreat and I was actually thankful, but it was inevitable.

"Do you have your insurance card and ID?" the woman just meticulously started to type away and I slid both card under the hole in the glass.

She looked at me again and raise an eyebrow.

I waited for her to ask but she didn't.

"Address is correct on the ID?" She asked instead and I nodded.

She started to print out papers and eventually slid one my way.

"Sign at the bottom and put this on your left wrist." She handed me the medical bracelet.

I signed my full name and slid the paper back.

"You'll be call to the cubicle by the admin nurse, just take a seat."

I nodded and retrieved my ID and insurance card. I slid them in my back pocket and slowly made my way to where Jessica had procure two new seats.

She helped me with the bracelet and then she entwine her hand with mine.

"So much for date night." She was about to rest her head on my shoulder when she realized the top of her head was going to brush my cheek. I exhaled glad to have avoided that bump.

She smiled and just patted my knee.

"Tell me the truth how bad does it look?" I looked at her and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Deanna, it's just too colorful and you did pass out for a few minutes."

"What?"

She nodded and I looked at her confused, I never recalled losing consciousness.

She nodded and looked away.

"It happened so fast," I mumbled and she patted my hand.

We were silent for a few minutes when I cleared my throat.

I had to start somewhere.

"My Mom and Dad are a product of an arrange marriage."

Jessica scoffed a little and leaned away so she could meet my gaze.

"That is a little random but whatever works for some you know."

"I was supposed to follow that as well."
