6 months after--

It was close to three in the morning, the whole street was dark except for the headlights of my car. The house was dark, and of course it should be.

I didn't tell her my flight had been changed. I didn't want her to wait up. She would have I'm positive about that.

I simply gathered my backpack and left the rest of my things in the trunk. I just needed to get to bed. I was tired and miserable.

I hate going out of the city to stupid meetings were my input wasn't really necessary. I had no power to decide certain things. All I was good for was number crunching, which is why my boss took me along.

He took me to scope out the scene and then later give him the details on what was good to invest or not, but I hate how he told everyone I was his partner. There was no way in hell I could make partner, not even in a hundred years and in reality I didn't want to.

Maneuvering through the house was simple. I had done it many times before and I was sure I was going to do it again in the future. I knew were the sofa was, I dropped my backpack into it. I knew were the first step started I didn't even use the railing as I climbed up in the dark.

I tiptoe around avoiding the big spot in the middle, it creaked the most, and the last thing I wanted to do was wake her up.

I reached the door but I hesitated, I had forgotten to grease the hinges before I left. I cursed deeply for forgetting.

Swallowing hard I grasped the door knob firmly and turned it completely opening it. It didn't creak, now guilt filled my gut. She did it after she had asked me so many times to do it. I chuckled a bit quietly; I was feeling guilty over a damn door.

The room was pitch dark, the curtains were closed not even the faint light of the moon could invade the room. I took a deep breath sitting at the edge of the bed. I felt my back popped as I leaned down to untie my shoes.

"Aaaahhhhh!"

I don't know what startled me more the blood curling scream or the pain on my arm. I threw myself forwards and I ran to the door and turned on the light.

I was breathing heavy and I clutched my arm. Hoping to smother the pain away.

"The F***," Jessica yelled.

I held my arm and stared at her wide eye. The fuck she's yelling at me for.

She was gripping a bat as she stood in the opposite corner of the room. She was breathing heavy. Her eyes went from anger to confusion to guilt and then back to anger. Those beautiful eyes dance around wildly and I had no idea how to react.

I opened my mouth trying to speak, and nothing would come out I tried again but failed.

"Why the f***k didn't you tell me you're coming home early?" she snapped letting the metallic blunt object fall to the floor.

Finally finding my voice I snapped, "Since when do you sleep with f****ing bat."

"Ever since Bea got mugged two nights ago." She approached me slowly and I just held my arm. She does have a pretty good swing. My arm was throbbing; I was going to be sore for a while.

The adrenaline was dropping and the pain was actually increasing the more my heart started to calm down.

"At least you didn't tape me," I mumbled trying to lighten the mood. She started to undo the buttons on my shirt.

"I couldn't find it," she uttered as I felt my stomach drop. I looked down and her fingers undid the last button and she slipped my shirt off.

I moved my arm slowly trying not to move it as much.

"Are you serious?" I stammered out.

She simply shrugged her shoulders not looking at me, her hands moved to my belt buckle. I was so enthralled by her hands working gracefully we both eventually calmed down. I let her lead me to bed.

"Nothing's broke right?" she asked prodding at the bright red spot that was slowly appearing. I looked at my arm.

Tomorrow it would be dark purple.

I poked it too along with her fingers. "No, just a bad bruise I'm going to have for the rest of the month I bet."

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming home already?" The adrenaline was long gone and now the guilt started to consume her.

It was my turn to shrug my shoulders. "I didn't want you to stay up waiting or to go to the airport for me."

She took a deep breath, "Well what did we learn?" she mocked me. I always told her that whenever she did something that lead to something broken.

"To not arrive when the sun is not out." I had no witty retort I was bad at them. She smiled as I involuntarily blushed. I felt like an idiot and I felt once again like when we first met. A fool. I smiled and chuckled.

"Care to share what's so funny?" She pushed me on my back and I lifted my legs allowing her to pull my pants off.

"Just feeling nostalgic," I admitted.

"Getting whacked with a bat is nostalgic," I shook my head laughing. She smiled. That lovely smile.

"Now that you mention it remember that one time at the bating-," I pointed at her and then propped myself up on my good elbow.

"Shut up shut up." She covered her ears walking into the bathroom. I laughed, that had been her most embarrassing moment. Luckily I had a helmet on that day.

She came back with my sleeping pants and my sleeping shirt. She threw them at me; while I sat up she started to pick up my clothes and putting them into the hamper.

One handed I took my bra off and underwear, I could feel her eyes on me, sadly the pain on my arm was starting to spread.

I had been gone for over a week, it should have been two, but we had managed to close the deal earlier.

"Here," she grabbed my pants and knelt in front of me holding them out open, I placed my hand on her shoulder balancing as I placed one foot in then the other. She ran her finger tips up my thighs, which made me shiver.

She was still kneeling, her face at my stomach she darted her tongue from my navel up. I looked down to see her dark tresses getting closer.

She looked up and her eyes sparkled. She stood up and helped me with my shirt; she stood really close as she buttoned them. Her breath tickled my nose. I knew that look, the way she was breathing.

'Oh she was horny all right,' I swallowed hard feeling my heart hammer away wildly. I licked my lips when she wrapped her arms around me, groping my ass. I don't know why I even changed into my pj's then.

"I'm really tired," I uttered, she smirked. She was really into it.

She walked away turning off the lights, she was in a good mood fast. My arm on the other hand wasn't. I felt I should be mad and still complain, yet I didn't.

It was my fault to a certain extent as it was hers for quickly jumping the gun. I felt a cold fear; thank god she didn't own a gun, but it was good to be alert and prepare.

I got into bed waiting. After a few minutes of waiting I felt the bed shift and I felt the sheet being pulled off.

"Jess I'm serious, I'm jet lagged and tired-" Her lips met mine shutting me up. I could feel her need.

Her breath was heavy and I felt a strong shiver run-through me. She whimpered softly at my lips which cause my body to go weak..
