Hope you guys enjoy this chapter. Introducing a new character! Above is a picture of Hunter.

I wake to the sound of screaming. That's not the thing that's strange. The thing that's strange is I recognize the voice. It's Hunter. I scramble down the tree gun in hand. I have to say I am unhappy to see him. "Why are you here?" I demand. He screams again in agony. I realize his foot's caught in a bear trap. There's blood everywhere. I start to panic. What do I do? What do I do? I unset the trap and get out my first aid kit. I clean him up and give him an Advil for the pain.

"Now that you aren't in so much pain that you can speak, why are you here?" I question.

"I was looking for you." He replied his voice making my stomach flutter.

"Well, you found me." I try to respond as nonchalantly as possible.

"I can see that," Hunter says to my surprise with a hint of agitation in his voice.

"So, what do you want with me anyway? Oh my god, you're not working with them, are you?"

"What? No! Why would you think that?"

"I'm being cautious."

"So -"

"- What do you want with me?"

"I want to help you."

"Sure." I scoff. "Get some rest I'll keep a lookout."

I stare at Hunters sleeping face. The moon shining down on his deep auburn hair, illuminating his full crimson lips. In the light, he looked angelic. I extend my hand out to stroke his face but pull back registering what I was about to do. Why didn't I kill him like I had the little girl? I don't know. I suppose even if I wanted to I couldn't. That boy will be the death of me. And I'm not quite convinced that would be so terrible.

"Wake up!"

It's Hunter. And I'm asleep. God, why am I asleep?

"What's wrong?" I scream in terror.

"They're coming. I heard an engine, so I climbed up the tree. There were at least 7 trucks heading our way" I am now in panic mode. I start forcing everything into my bag and hand it to Hunter. I hop on my bike and yell at him to get on. He obeys wrapping his sturdy arms around my waist. My breath hitches at the touch.

"We have to go," I say before I do something that I'll regret. I start my bike and we're off.
