Narrator's POV

After the day Hoseok's dad, we'll call him Taehyun, told Jaerin that Hoseok died of suicide, Jaerin logged out of her Instagram account and cried for days. Days the turned into weeks. Weeks that turned into months. She lost contact with Jimin. She never went online on her account again. But did Hoseok really die because of suicide? He was never suicidal. He was always happy. He represented the sun and was always in a bright mood. Well, what happened then?

You see, remember that part in the story when Hoseok was avoiding the topic of his sister. Remember that time where he didn't want to talk to Jaerin? Well, Hoseok's sister, Jiwoo, had a tragic death. Hoseok's dad sells dead bodies for a living. Especially woman's. One day, Taehyun had just realized he had to pay the rent tomorrow. He panicked. Taehyun's boss has been asking for Jiwoo's body ever since he hired him. His boss put up a high price for Jiwoo's body. So, he did it. He killed his own blood daughter.

Hoseok grew up in a poor family. Which is probably why Taehyun sells dead bodies as a job. Hoseok's parents got divorced when he was only 6. After they got divorced, Taehyun would abuse Hoseok and Jiwoo every day. Physically and verbally. Taehyun would drink all the time. He would always be getting into fights and end up losing, which got some of his money taken away. He would do bets and lose a bunch of money form that too. Just wasting away.

"My dear son, you know why I killed your sister, right?"

"B-because we need money."

"Yes my son, thank you for understanding. Don't tell anyone, okay?"

"Y-Yes, father."

Jiwoo died when she was only 10 and Hoseok was 12. He had no idea what to do with his life, until Jaerin came around.

Jaerin taught Hoseok that you should speak up for yourself. Say what's right. Don't hold back. Take a chance or else the worse will come.

Well, the worse did come.

Remember when Jaerin asked Hoseok "why were you sad that day?". It was because it was Jiwoo's Death Anniversary. Hoseok replied "I'll tell you once I go to California". He was going to tell her about his dad. He was planning to get him in prison with Jaerin by his side. He worked so hard for his tickets. He thought he would be truly happy again. Sadly, Taehyun found out.

Hoseok keeps a diary with all his thoughts, rants, and secrets. A few weeks before Hoseok died. Taehyun found his diary under Hoseok's bed while cleaning their small house.

   Today is Jiwoo's Death Anniversary. Jiwoo, I miss you so much. I'm sorry I couldn't do anything but just watch you die. I hope you can forgive me. Don't worry though. I will avenge you. I started working at the grocery store and I'm looking for more part time jobs so that I can get tickets to California. Once I get to California, I'm going to meet my confident, beautiful, outgoing friend and she'll help me put the man we called father in prision. Yes, that friend is a girl. She's always there for me when I need her. She's super funny too. I wish you'd be able to meet her one day. I've known her for a few months now. I'm really happy I met her. I'm planning to confess to her when she picks me up at the airport. We planned everything already! I'm going to sleep at her apartment and we'll be taking pictures at San Francisco. I'll tell her about you and the man that killed you. And he'll be in prison in no time. Just stay in there :)

"What a dumbass. Putting a little baby diary under his bed thinking I won't find this. You asked for this, my son."

On the night of Hoseok's flight, Hoseok was found dead in his bedroom.

"Did you know that I killed her for you?!"

"I didn't ask you to!"

"Would you rather live in the streets?!"

"It would be better than living with a killer!"

"Alright, go to your little crush in California!"

"Okay! I wi-"

"I'm sorry, my son."

"911, my son i-is lying on the floor with a-a knife and I-I think he's-"

"We'll be right there, sir"

"I-I don't know what to do! Do I-I just stand here looking at my d-dead son? What a-am I going to do wi-with m-my life?!"

"Sir, can you describe the crime scene. Sir?"

"I can't take this anymore!"

"Today at 7:39 pm, a dad walked into his child's bedroom. What he saw was absolutely terrifying."

"I-I was going to call him down for dinner but w-when I walked in his room all I saw was.. him on the floor.. with a knife in his stomach.."

"As you can see the dad is devastated. The police have been observing he crime scene and claims that it was suicide. No footprints were found or thumbprints."

"We invested the body as soon it was given to us. It looks like he stabs himself in the stomach many times.", The doctor said.

"I mean he was suicidal. I kinda saw this coming, b-but I didn't know i-it would be this s-soon. He would always stay in his room. Skip meals. And avoid any socializing. I-I shouldve d-done something. I-It's all my fault."

Jaerin had no idea what was going on. She was depressed, sad, and confused. She knew that Hoseok wouldn't kill himself. But what could she do? She's still in college. She definitely didn't have enough momey to go to Korea. She can't deny Hoseok's death. So she dealt with it.

One year later, Jaerin graduated. She improved so much as a person. After that one year, Jaerin thought she would be able to face the internet again.

jaeroach: hey, what's your name?

imyourjhope: i'm hoseok. you?

jaeroach: hoseok..

imyourjhope: yeahh?

jaeroach: oh sorry. i just remember someone named hoseok. pretty common name.

imyourjhope: i guess it is. ever heard of bts?

jaeroach: no, why?

imyourjhope: well, its a boy band and im a member. we just debuted! mind if u check us out?

jaeroach: haha sure!

Hoseok always wanted to pursue a career in music.

imyourjhope: thanks! it means a lot

jaeroach: no problem! it's no big deal
