"Oh hello, you must be y/n. I'm Mrs. Walker."

"Yeah that's me, nice to meet you."

"I know your new here but I know you will adjust just fine. As days go on you will see how we work here in this school. Choose any seat for now, changed seats will be made once I get to know my students."

I nod and move on to find a seat. There is three minutes until the bell rings for class to start so I try and choose the best seat. The only problem is, the is science class. And in science class the desks are actually lab tables where we have partners. So I guess I will be stuck with someone.

I sit down in the back table closest to the window. I know, very cliché. But I hate the middle seats, I'm surrounded by too many people.

Now I'm not a introvert, I just don't like to be around people that I don't know. But I am more the willing to get to know them.

I play Minecraft on my phone until the bell eventually rings and all of the seats are taken except for one full table in front of me and one seat, can you guess which? Yeah it's mine. Figured this would happen though. New kid sits alone, yay!!

The introduction to the new year rolls out of the teachers mouth and goes in through one ear and out the other. Same routine, know the rules, etc etc.

About six minutes into the period, yes I counted, or rather I checked the clock, three students rolled in. All tall looking boys. Pretty cute not gonna lie.

Mrs. Walker looks at them with a look that says 'How do you manage to be late on the first day of school but since it is the first day I'll let it slide'

"Take a seat," she says calmly.

The boys come to the back of the room approaching me. The red head and one of the brunettes takes a seat in the table in front of me while the other, more cuter brunette sits nexts to me.

He gives me a soft smile which I return. I look back at the teacher and so does he and we hear what she has to say.

We have to do a certain amount of labs in the school year to be able to pass, the first one today including The Safety Lab.

We literally just have to draw a map of the room and label fire extinguishers, fire exits, fire blanket, all that stuff that we never use. Pretty useless but it will have to do.

"This can also give everyone a time to catch up from over the summer and maybe meet new people. I don't mind talking but please finish the lab and hand it in when you are done. You can go on your phone or do whatever after."

She hands out the paper we need to fill out and all the students start talking to each other without hesitation.

"Did you see KJ Apa in Riverdale?!"

"OH MY GOD YES, HE WAS SO HOT!"

"I heard Isabella's dad got a yacht over the summer."

"Parties gonna be lit man."

"Can you believe what Miranda did with her hair?"

"I know right, that color does NOT go with her skin tone."

Basic drama filled the room as I tried to do my work so I can get to going on my phone.

The boys in front of me turn around and place their papers on my table. Or mine and the mystery kids table.

I continue writing only to find a hand being waved in front of me. I look up and all three of them were staring at me, probably waiting for an answer to something.
