Chapter 13
Me and Taylor got ready together. It was now mid October and it was getting even chillier outside. Taylor decided to wear her blue skinnies with her black knee-high boots. She topped it off with a grey sweater with a black heart on it and her hair up in a ponytail.
While she put her make up on, I decided to shower and clear my mind so I could get ready for this already horrid day. I put on "Just a Little Bit of Your Heart" by Ariana Grande and hopped in the shower, quietly singing to myself as I washed up.
I know I'm not your only.
But I'll still be a fool, cuz I'm a fool for you.
Just a little bit of your heart is all I'm asking for.
After the song ended, I shut the water off and got out. I slipped on a pair of my skinnies and a grey t-shirt. I then pulled on a grey sweater, not realizing it was Jack's sweater that I still had. I decided to leave it on.
When I walked out of the bathroom, I slipped on my black converse. Then Taylor and I grabbed our bags and headed out, Soph following behind us. My mom had left early so I still hadn't been able to tell her about Jack & I. Taylor told Soph what happened while I laid in Taylor's lap crying my eyes out. Probably being a big embarassment like I always am. We got in the car, Taylor up front while Sophie sat in the middle seat in the back.
Halfway to school, Sophie tapped my shoulder. I looked in the rearview mirror at her in the backseat. "What's up Soph?"
"I don't know how to ask this and I don't wanna upset you. But does this mean I can't be friends with Em?"
I blinked a couple times and looked at her through the mirror again and gave her a small smile. "Oh no Soph, you guys are practically sisters and I love Em just as much as you do."
Taylor let out a small chuckle from the passenger seat, "Yeah, you're brother isn't that big of a bitch."
I let out a small laugh and lightly punched her, "Oh, whatever!"
Soph smiled to herself and returned to her music. And Taylor and I talked the rest of the way to school. Maybe this day wouldn't be completely terrible.
