Derek's pov:
His sister! I can't remember when I was more relieved about anything!! Here I was admiring her the whole time thinking I am eyeing his girlfriend, but no! It's his sister. His beautiful and smart sister. The breakfast was pretty funny, i never thought Spencer could be that relaxed and funny. He always seemed so calm and collected, not cold but distanced somehow. But with his sister by his side he basically acts like everyone else. Whenever she told me something embarrassing about him he just smiled softly at her or shook his head. The love the both of them have for one another is so blatantly obvious that it nearly hurts. When I wouldn't know that they were siblings I would think they are in a relationship. But with their upbringing it is logical that they are this close. For her he is her savior, her knight in shining armor. And she just means the world to him. I was sure about that before, but after our talk this morning I am absolutely positive he would go through hell for her. And to be fair, I would be right by his side! The absolute delight in her eyes when I got her, her favorite coffee and muffins was just breath taking. She even got as bubbly as Garcia sometimes gets when something really good happens. I felt like a love sick puppy when her capturing eyes looked so intensely at me as if she was trying to see my soul. Spencer only send a playful glare my way, definitely having picked up the flirting. He even threatened me when she ran ahead of us to the car. Don't even think of leading her on Derek! He told me sternly. The problem was, I don't try to lead her on. For the first time ever, I want someone to be mine. I want to get to know her better and keep her by my side for the rest of my life. This is the thing that frightens me the most about my current situation. I never met someone who got this important for me in such a short period of time, even without trying. She is just absolutely perfect! There is no other word for her. A throat gets cleared right next to me.
„What are you doing Derek? She is taken with Spencer, don't destroy that for them." Emily whispers sternly at me. Not knowing how to react about getting lecture by her, i only nod my understanding at her. She doesn't know that there wasn't anything going on between them, at least right now she doesn't.
„Ok, Morgan you, Rossi and Susan are going to look deeper into the circle theory. JJ and i are going to talk with the families and Emily and Reid are mapping out potentially hiding spots." Hotch announces only a second later. Reid sends a pleading look my way to keep his sister safe. Which of course I nod my head to. We all look at him as he pulls her close for a second to whisper something in her ear. I am taking a wild guess and say he tells her to be carful before poking his pinky at her. She smiles brightly at him before intertwining her pinky with his. He kisses her forehead and shoohs her my way.
„Ready?" i ask her, holding the door Open for her.
„As ready as i will ever be!" she answers happily. Rossi is already by the car on the driver side, knowing fully well that I hate to not being able to drive myself. His smirk also tells me that he had done that on purpose. But my mood is way to good at the moment, so I only let Susan take the co-driver seat and take my seat in the back. Rossi looks shocked but doesn't say anything. Looks like two can play that game, I think to myself.
„So how does that work?" Susan asks after a few minutes of silence.
„We are going to look for anything special about that place. Maybe something was forgotten to take along or any specific meaning to the place." I answer her. Seeing her nod at my explanation.
„Since we got that out of the way. How are you Susan? I haven't seen you in a few months!" Rossi says quickly looking at her before turning his focus back on the street.
„I am Good, thank you Rossi! How have you been? To be exact, we haven't seen each other in 65 days 2 hours and 24 minutes." he answers him happily. Chuckling at her answer, how could I miss the similarities between her and Spencer? They are so similar in some points.
„You spend way to much time with Reid." Rossi says and shakes his head while laughing.
„Hey! Don't be mean!" she tells him sternly but I could clearly detect the sad tone in her voice.
„I was only joking love. You know that right?" Rossi answers quickly, laying a hand on hers in apology.
„Still I don't like it." she mumbles.
„Spencer was always there for me. He is the best big brother on this whole world! So don't be mean and say thinks like that. It is hurtful." she lectures him. Trying really hard to hold my laughter back. Such a small girl, or woman, chastising big tuff Rossi. On the other hand, it shows just how much they care for one another. Even knowing it was just joking she wouldn't allow it.
„You are right Love. It won't happen again." he promised her.
„That's more like it!" she huffs out, right when we arrive at the latest dumping spot. We get out of the car and look around. Not noticing that Susan went back to the car a few minutes after we arrived.
„Susan? What are you doing?" Rossi asks her which instantly gets my attention.
„I noticed that there are a few security cameras, so I thought why not look if they caught something." she says without looking away from her laptop.
„Ok, i call Garcia if she could look into their systems." I say, already pulling my phone out.
„Not necessary." Susan says and turns her laptop to us. We watch as a middle aged women unloads our victim before driving off again.
„I think I can see the license plate. Let me try something." she says already typing quickly on the keypad. Rossi and I look on confused as suddenly the license plate is zoomed in and perfectly readable on the screen. Just when I try to say that I would call Hotch she is already going on again.
„The car has a navigation system so we know exactly where it is right now." she says when a map opens with a moving point, obviously our suspects car.
„Ok, how did you just do this?" Rossi asks her in shock. And after her hacking skills showed, we made sure there was nothing to be found about her. Spencers earlier explanation returns in my head. Damn it!! How fucking smart is she? If not even Garcia was able to find anything, she must be a hell of a hacker!
„Just a few clicks here and there?" she asks him without looking at any of us.
„It doesn't matter anyway. Let's call Hotch to tell him we have found our possible suspect or at least a Partner." i say, hoping to get Susan to relax again since she stiffens up after Rossi's question.
