We arrive at the hospital around 15 minutes later. We go up to the receptionist and sign in. We get in the elevator and go up to her room, Jaxon's hand never leaving mine.

"Sarah?" I say as I knock on her door, opening it in the process. I don't even know why I said anything, if she woke up I would be the first one to know. I'm astonished to find her sitting up halfway, rubbing her head.

"OH MY GOD!!" I scream as I run to her, hugging her just lightly enough not to hurt her.
"Jaxon get a nurse!" I yell to Jaxon, who is still at the door.

—5 minutes later—
Jaxon arrives with a nurse. She has brown curly hair that's tied up in a ponytail, her obvious highlights peaking through.

"Hi, Sarah, how are you feeling?" The nurse asks as she leans down to get closer to Sarah's face. If I didn't know any better you might think she was about to kiss her.

"My head hurts." Sarah says barely audible enough to be heard. But I guess to be a nurse you have to have good ears, huh?

The nurse ran to get her some ibuprofen and probably a doctor. She came back a few seconds later. Jaxon has settled in a chair, and I have never left her side.

I look over to see the nurse at the door, motioning for me to go out of the room. I glance over at Sarah once again and leave to go to the nurse.

"Sarah's bones still aren't fully healed, and her brain still hasn't fully recovered from the concussion. We will have to keep her here for up to 2 more months to make sure she fully recovers. What I need you to do once she comes home is to try and never let her leave your side. I know this will get annoying because you won't have much privacy anymore, but eventually she will be fine on her own. Try to look out for any suspects on who did this, because they need to go to jail immediately. Find her phone and call her parents." She said to me as she walked off. That was a lot to take in.

I go back to the room Sarah is in and find her phone on a table by her bed. My fingerprint is in her phone (luckily) so I unlock it. I immediately call her parents and tell them the good news.

"Hello? Hi Mrs. Peters. I just wanted to let you know that Sarah has woken up-" I'm cut off by a scream through the phone. "Heh, yes, it's very exciting. However, she hasn't fully healed yet. She has to stay here from 2 weeks to 2 months. We don't know yet. Okay, yeah, alright, bye."

I hang up and sit on Jaxon's lap. Sarah is asleep in her bed from which she hasn't gotten up from since she woke up. Her parents are on the way here to see her, and when they get here we plan on leaving them alone with her. But for the time being we are staying.

"Hey, baby." Jaxon's says sleepily. I must've woken him up when I sat on him. "How is she?" He asks, rubbing his eyes and yawning. "She woke up about 45 minutes ago, but after she took some ibuprofen she fell back asleep. Her parents are on the way, and when they get here we're gonna leave."
"Where to?"
"My dorm probably. " he doesn't ask any more questions and I think he goes back to sleep, and I eventually doze off also.

—30 minutes later—
"My baby!" Sarah's mom says as she practically breaks the door down and wraps her arms around her daughter.

"We will leave you guys alone," I say as me and Jaxon gather our things and leave. We head to my dorm and we immediately fall asleep in each others arms.

—the next day—
I wake up to my phone ringing on the table by my bed. I have to practically crawl over Jaxon to get to my phone, and almost have a heart attack when I see that it's Mrs. Peters.

"Hello?"
"Hi Kayla, you need to get here right now. The nurse said something bad happened and we are not letting her tell us what it is until you get here. Hurry honey please." She says, obviously worried.
"Okay, Thank you Mrs. Peters. I will be there as soon as I can."
I immediately throw on some shorts and a sweatshirt and my shoes and head out.

Of course traffic would be horrible on the way to the hospital, when it matters most. I get there in about 20 minutes, but it felt like 5 freaking hours. I walk into the hospital and fly up to Sarah's room.

"Here she is!" Mrs. Peters says as she sees me. She wraps her arms around me, obviously happy to see me but worried at the same time. She guides me to the nurse and we stop in front of her, next to Mr. Peters.

"I'm sorry," the nurse begins. "But—"
