Chapter 2:Black Roses

Okay so now since i've got more on my plate then i can stand; there is really nothing i can do about it. i've got two lovestricken idiots downstairs squealing like schoolgirls. But worst of all, the guy who has my sister like this is my best friend's older brother, Drew. That basterd... But hey... i bet he's thinking the same thing about me right now. Who can blame us... we're just two guys trying to protect our sisters. I walked downstairs and found my sister and my mother discussing what Marybeth was going to wear for the date. Seriously? Is it really that big...? how should i know? I'm a guy. And there's only one girl that i know like the back of my hand; can you guess who that is...? "wink wink" I sat down in front of them and waited for them to settle the clothes deal. "So... i guess that settles that... right?" I asked. They both nodded smiling brightly. "Yeah, we are." My mother answered. "Good... i couldn't take listening to all the squealing..." I said dully. THey looked  at each other blushing. I sat there staring as dully as possible.

i stood up suddenly and went to the door. "I'll be back soon." i said. "Wait! it's nine at night... where could you possibly be going at this time of night..?" Marybeth asked. "Somewhere." I said grinning and walked out the door. I stared at the moon as i walked humming one of my favorite songs, Iris- by Googoo Dolls.

I stopped in front of a flower shop, and walked inside. The shopclerk was in there watering flowers, "i"m sorry, but i'll will be closing soon." He announced. "No, no. I was the guy who ordered for some black roses a couple weeks back. They are here today correct...?" I asked. "Oh! Yes, they are, please; right this way." He said and started walking towards a mini- greenhouse in the back, i followed. "wait outside the door please." He said once he entered and pointed at the floor in front of me. I waited until he came out of the mini-greenhouse and gestured to go to the cash register. I followed him once more and waited as he wrapped the flowers in plastic and sprayed them. "That will be 15 dollars, please." I took my wallet out and paid him, he handed me the flowers and i left after thanking him.

After that i went to the nearest candy store and bought some nerds for myself, reeses for my sister and a box of chocolate for Ashley. Yeah, yeah. i know, it's corny, right? But she likes things like that.. As soon as i finished that i walked home happily, waiting for the next day to come.
