Chapter 3: THE WORLD IS ENDING?!

I woke up sprawled across the floor of my room. I heard giggling above me, i look up and see my mother looking at me, "You looked like the little boy i took as my own son 10 years ago." She said smiling. "Mom...." I pushed myself off the ground and sat on my bed beside my mother. "What's wrong...? You always say something like that whenever something happens to you." I asked. She smiles, "Nothing, i'm just really happy." She giggled. "Mom, you're completely throwing this out of proportion..." I told her. "Well, Marybeth never really let a guy near her. But then Drew and Ashley came by..." She trailed off.

I knew where she was going with this. "Mom, I'm very capable of protecting them. And yeah, since we met them we changed..." I told her, smiling. She looked at me, her eyes shining. "I'm happy to hear that. But try to keep yourself safe too..." She said softly as she stood up and left my room. Mom...

___Six Hours Later___

i couldn't contain myself! I finally could get my feelings out towards her... But i hoped that she felt the same way too though. I couldn't stop fidgeting and looking over at the clock, "Only five... gotta calm down.... still have an hour and a half..." I told myself. This would be my first date in my life. And of course i would be nervous, i just wondered how nervous my sister would be. This eased the heavy on my shoulders a little. This would be the first day in her life for all i know.

Then, i saw something at the corner of my eye.... Something black... I jumped out my seat and spun around to see that it was the person i had met the day before. "Shadow.... What are you doing here?" I finally spoke after a moment of staring at each other. "I need to talk to you." he announced. "Shadow... this is not the time. I'll be leaving to a date soon!" I told him. "This might be the only time." He insisted calmly. "What is this thing that you must tell me?" I asked. "The world as you know it will be enveloped in darkness if nothing is done."

"Wait wait wait..... What do you mean 'enveloped in darkness'..?" I asked now interested. "The world is going to end." He said calmly. "oh...." I sighed not noticing what he said. I sat down, waiting then he stood infront of me and fazed his hand into my chest. "What the fu-" I blacked out.
