Black. That was all I saw. I walked through nothingness. I felt like I've been walking for hours but everything looks the same. I began to panic. I continued to walk but I suddenly felt like I was falling. I screamed but no one heard me. When I landed I was unharmed. I looked around and saw something white. I decided to follow it. I soon realized the white thing was moving.
"Wait!" I yelled. The white thing stopped and turned around. I froze.
"M-Mother." I mumbled feeling tears brim in my eyes. She opened her arms for me in a welcoming way. I let my tears go and ran into her warm embrace. She stroked my hair and hummed the lullaby she use to always sing me when ever I was sad or nervous. I cried in her chest. I missed her so much. I felt her touch become lighter and her humming softer. I looked up and saw her fading away. I screamed and hugged her tighter.
"Mama! Please! Please don't leave me! I don't know how I could live without you!" I yelled crying.
"My precious flower...I will never leave you. My body maybe gone but my heart and spirit will always stay with you. I love you. Remember that. Now go and become a strong shinobi so you can protect those you will care for." With that she faded away and my vision turned black.

I bolted up out of my bed. I pulled my pillow to my chest and squeezed it. 'Goddammit! Every since I came to the hidden leaf I always have that same dream.' I thought. I looked at my alarm and it said 6 o' 08. 'Great...Well guess I'm not gonna go back to sleep.' I thought as I got up. I got a shower and changed into a green outfit. (Out fit on side--->). I went downstairs and saw Cou laying on the couch cleaning her fur.
"Morning Cou." I say going into the kitchen.
"Hey Ren. You sleep well?" She asked, flicking her blue tail back and forth. I shrugged making a bagel with egg and bacon and a fish for Cou. I put it down infront of her. We ate quietly until Cou broke the silence.
"Hey Ren Don't you start that ninja academy today?" She asked cleaning her muzzle.
"Yeah why?" I asked.
"Cause its almost time to leave." I looked at the clock and she was right.
"Well guess I should leave now." I say standing up and dusting the crumbs off my skirt.
"Hai well I'll meet you after school." Cou said curling in a ball.
"Ok but if you meet someone who starts to cuddle you don't bite them." I say walking out the door.
"No Promises!" I heard as I closed the door. I ran to the school. I arrived and the clock said 8. I poked my head in and the sensei wasn't there. I went back out and leaned against a wall. I closed my eyes and hummed the song my mother had taught me. I stopped when I felt someone tap my shoulder. I opened an eye and saw man with scar across his nose.
"Are you my new student?" He asked. I nodded. He smiled.
"Ok wait out here until I call you in." He said standing up. I only just relized he was crouching down a bit but I did only have one eye open.
"Hai." I say souding kinda monotone. He went in the room and I heard the chattering of the other kids quiet down.
"Alright class we have a new student. Please come in." He said. I walked in but had my bangs covering my eyes.
