'I'm the one I should love in the world'

the feel good song played in the background as she lay in the grass, staring at the moon. Even though it has amazing and encouraging lyrics, it still managed to make her shed tears because no matter what she will always remember the man who sang it. Her heart ached as she thought of what could have been and she couldn't help but wonder if he could see the stars that she was so painfully admiring at the moment. Deep down, she knew it was impossible but just that thought made her feel closer to him. All she wanted him to do was to open his eyes to see how their horizons meet. She wanted to ask him if he could see the stars from Korea.

He lay on the floor of his porch, staring up at the moon with a polaroid picture clutched in his hand. It was a picture of her, the girl he loved so dearly, the girl that would always be out of his reach. He felt the scars on his heart bleed out to her as the first few droplets trailed down his cheek. As the minutes passed, he was still crying but the burning pain in his chest was now replaced with an empty feeling. He looked back up to the sky, tears blinding his vision as he wondered if his beloved was able to see the stars from wherever she was.

The two heartbroken lovers wondered if the stars they loved so much would one day guide them home, where they can be in each other's arms once again.
