It's been a few days since Namjoon told me that I had to go to a fancy party with Hoseok and wear a pretty dress that my parents would never approve of, but, then again, my parents aren't here aren’t here, are they?

I’ve only got 2 more days until the actual thing and no one will tell me why I’m going in the first place. Even with a sweet smile, Hoseok still won’t tell me. Which reminds me, he still needs a tux. I tried on the dress and it fits nicely but I wish there was another girl for a second opinion and I need someone to do my makeup. I hear the boys coming back from their lunch break and slam the car doors shut on Jin’s car, his voice yelling at them soon after.

I don’t get why, but they never leave me by myself when they leave, they always leave one member with me, which is usually Hoseok. They said leaving him with me would improve our acting for the party but I have a feeling that there’s something more to it. Hoseok and I jump at the sound of them coming in, a womans voice coming from the front door. We left Hoseok’s room, we were only talking not doing anything dirty, mind you, and walking into the living room. On the couch was a very classy looking older woman smiling warmly as I entered the room.

“Oh, sweetie, you’re so pretty! Come here and give Nana a hug!” She stands and comes toward me with open arms.

I awkwardly embrace her while looking at Hoseok, mouthing, ‘What the fuck’ to him.

“Hello, I am Jungkook’s grandmother. I will be helping you with your dress and makeup.” She pulls away from the hug to smile at me before going right in for another one.

What the actual fuck.

She leads me into my bedroom and keeps mumbling to herself.

“Oh, sweetie, you’re going to look so much prettier now that I’m here.” She says.

“Uh, what?” I ask, a bit offended.

I think I’m pretty the way I am thank you.

“You will be prittier with my guidance.” She corrects herself.

Like that’s any better.

“Go ahead and put the dress on for me, sweetie.” She lets go of my hand.

I do as I’m told and I walk out of the bathroom to see her put her hands up to her face, looking as if she was about to cry.

“Oh, you look so beautiful” She says.

“Thank you.” I say sweetly.

She fixes the dress and makes it look perfect, she puts on a layer of makeup and steps back to see her masterpiece..

“Boys? Will you come here for a second? Oh, and will Hoseok please stay back? I don’t want him to see her before the big day.” She asks.

Six boys walk in and look at me, whispering among one another. I start to get nervous after they don’t say anything to me for a while.

“Well, uh, you look amazing, Hee-Young. I think Hoseok might faint standing next to you.” Jimin chuckles.

I feel my checks grow warm and I feel like Jungkook’s grandma might give me a hug from how embarrassed I was. I moved away from her and hid my face in my arms, turning to face the mirror. I peeked up at my reflection only to stare at the person looking back at me.

Whoa, is that me? I’m actually pretty.

The boys leave and I hurry to get back into my regular clothes, taking my makeup off along the way. I walk out of the bathroom and make my way over to JK’s grandma, giving her a big hug.

“Thank you so much.” I say softly.

“You’re very welcome. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go now. I’ll see you later, Hee-Young.” She pulls back and smiles warmly at me.

She leaves and I follow her out into the living room, watching as she left.

“Hey, uh, Hee-Young? I think we got off to a bad start, can we start over?” Jungkook asks me.

He held out his hand to me and I looked at it for about 3 seconds before taking hold of it, shaking it with a smile plastered on my face. He smiled back and let go, turning to go out the front door.

“Wait, where are you guys going?” I ask.

“Food.” Jin answers as he follows Jungkook.

4 other boys followed them and they were gone in a matter of seconds. I huffed and looked at the couch to see Hoseok sprawled out on it, sleeping like a baby. I sat on the floor, bored out of my mind. My phone was charging, so I couldn’t play on it and I had no one to talk to. I decide to turn on the TV, the news coming into view.

“...a storm so big that it will knock the power out for hours. I advise everyone to stay indoors and do not go outside for any reason. I will be reporting if there are any new updates, back to you, Kam.” A news reporter was talking.

As soon as he stopped, thunder crashed above the house, making me jump in surprise and made my heart pound loudly in my ears. I think now would be a good time to wake Hoseok. I turned around and poked his side to no avail. I sighed and stood up, beginning to shake him violently.

“Stop, Hyung, 5 more minutes.” He grumbled.

“Hoseok, wake your ass up! You have to call Bangtan!” I yell.

“Why?” He asks, still half asleep.

“Hoseok, there’s supposed to be a really bad storm, we could lose power and the boys could get hurt.” I say.

His eyes snap open all the way and fumbles for his phone, scoffing in anger when he looks at it.

“I don’t have any service.” He says sadly.

“What are we gonna do? We can’t call them, text them or anything! Oh shit, this is where I die, what are we gonna do?” I start to pace the room, a panic attack starting to creep it’s way into my brain.

“Hee-Young! You’re fine, no one is gonna die.” Hoseok grabs my shoulders.

You say that now.

“We’re gonna be fine. So we don’t have service, that’s okay. We just need to close all the windows and doors. Oh, could you turn off the TV?” He says calmly.

I don’t know what made him so calm but his attitude made my panic disappear. I go into the kitchen and grab some snacks as I start to close all the windows. I go back into the living room to turn off the TV when the news reporter starts talking again.

“Folks, it looks like this storm has taken a turn for the worst. The clouds have now formed into an EF4 tornado. I advise you to please do not, under any circumstances, go outside. Please get to safety-” The tv goes black as I shut it off.

I ran up the stairs, nearly tripping to get my phone and made my way to Hoseok’s room.

“Whoa, what’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” He chuckles.

“H-Hoseok. Th-the storm...it’s turned into a EF4 tornado.” I stutter.

He blinks and pulls me into a big hug, rubbing my back to try and comfort me.

“Hobi, I’m new here and now I’m stranded here with you and a tornado who knows where. I don’t wanna die just yet, there are still so many things I wanna do.” I start to cry in his arms.

“Hee-Young, it’s gonna be okay. If we do die, I want you to know that I really, really like you.” He says as he hugs me harder.
