I pulled away from Hoseok he stood there for a second, his face as red as his hair.
“Are you okay Hobi?” I ask him, only receiving a nod in response.
He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers, leading me out onto the main floor. I could see Namjoon and the others calling us over to them, Hoseok changing our course to go to them. I see Mr. Choi walk in front of and I try to go around him but he grabs my wrist and pulled me closer to him. I didn’t have time to call out and I saw Hoseok keep walking toward the guys, thinking I was still right behind him. Mr. Choi took me into a dark hallway and opened a door, throwing me into a closet. Seriously, what is up with me and closets? I sat in the darkness for what seemed like hours before I began to try and get someone’s attention.
Hoseok P.O.V
I felt Hee-Young let go of my hand and I assumed it was because her hand was getting sweaty and we were already close enough to the rest of the guys. I approached them to see worry on their faces.
“Hobi, where’s Hee-Young?” Yoongi asks.
“What are you talking about? She’s right he-” I turn to see no sign of Hee-Young.
I see a flash of blue and then it disappeared, the face of her teacher walking through the crowd came into view soon after. My face goes pale and I tried to search for her in the crowd to no avail. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a light flicker from a side hallway and I turn my body fully toward the hallway. I walk toward the hall and saw that a light was turning off and on from underneath a closet door. I looked behind me just in case someone was following me before I go further into the hallway to try and open the door. I heard someone sniff and I knew immediately that it was Hee-Young. I bang on the door and I heard her sob.
“Please, stop! Open the door! Let me go!” I hear her plead.
I kick the door open and I found her sitting on the ground in a ball with her eyes squeezed shut.
“Hee-Young.” I say softly.
Her eyes shot open and she stood up, hugging me as I felt her tears soak into my dress shirt.
Hee-Young P.O.V
I assumed that the banging on the door was Mr. Choi trying to scare me and I crouched down on the ground, trying to ignore it.
“Please, stop! Open the door! Let me go!” I plead.
The banging turned into kicking and I realized that my math teacher is actually crazy. The door finally opened and I closed my eyes from the dust going everywhere.
“Hee-Young.” A familiar voice calls out to me.
My eyes shoot open to see Hoseok standing in the doorway. I stand up and hug him, letting my tears flow into his shirt. I could feel Hoseok holding me to him, his hand caressing my hair to calm me down.
“Oh my God, he found you.” I hear Namjoon say as he walks up to us.
Tiny Time Skip*
Hoseok and I are in the car, on our way home from the gala.
“What’s wrong?” He asks.
“Nothing.” I reply weakly.
Even as I said it, I could feel a tear roll down my cheek and I felt Hoseok wipe it with his thumb, making me feel safe. We passed the house and I looked at Hoseok with a confused expression when we pulled up to a fast food place.
“What? I’m hungry.” He says.
I chuckle and go inside with him, sitting in a booth across from him. I got a small burger, fries and a chocolate shake, Hoseok ordering the exact same thing. We ate silently, just looking off to the side or looking at our food.
“Hey, Hee-Young.” Hoseok finally says.
“Hmm?” I ask with my mouth full.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” He asks.
