A/n: TRIGGER WARNING THERE IS MENTIONS OF DEATH IN THIS CHAPTER!!

~*(Your PoV)*~

I stared out the window of the airplane with a slight frown on my face. I was glad I would be going to see my Cousin, Aunty and Uncle again....I just wish it wasn't for something so sad. I grimaced as I thought back on what happened a few days ago before shaking the thoughts from my head. I didn't need to cry on a plane full of strangers and I had done enough crying as it was in the past few days.

I perked my head up when I heard the sound of the flight attendants voice over the PA system.

"Good afternoon everyone. We'll be arriving at Charles de Gaulle Airport in a few moments so I ask that you please put your trays up and buckle your seatbelts as we begin our descent and thank you for flying AirFrance" she said with a smile before she hung up the phone and walked down the aisle to sit and buckle herself into a seat.

I stared out the window while heaving a soft sigh as the plane began loosing altitude in its descent to the runway of the airport. I would have to let Aunty and Uncle know what gate I arrived in when I got off the plane.

When I called a few days ago to tell them I was visiting for a while they happily stated I could use the spare room in the apartment and that they would be picking me up from the airport. I have no clue how I'm going to tell them the news. Especially Aunty Sabine. She's going to be so heart broken. Her and Mama were so close even after we moved to Japan and they moved to Paris.

I blinked back to reality as we were given to ok to stand and leave the plane. I stood and grabbed my carry on from the overhead compartment before making my way up the aisle and out the door of the plane and up the boarding bridge before looking around the Airport to find the gate I was in so I could text Aunty.

After texting her and getting a confermation text that they were on their way I went over to baggage claim to get the rest of my luggage. I knew I would be starting over in Paris so I only packed my essentials and things that were precious to me such as my family heirlooms that have been handed down for generations.

I grab my suitcases and go to sit down when I hear my name being yelled down the hall. Looking over I spot Aunty and Uncle rather quickly and I can't keep the smile off my face despite how badly I want to cry upon seeing them. Running up to them and being wrapped in their hugs just reminds me of my parents and I know I'm crying now.

"Sweety what's wrong?" I hear Aunty ask through my sea of tears as she pulls away and sees them coating my face. "A-aunty....I have to tell you something..." Is all I can manage to choke out before more tears come. I don't want to do this here. Not in an airport. "its ok, just wait till we get home ok? Marinette is at school but she'll be home in about an hour. C'mon." Aunty says quietly as I shoulder my bag and Uncle Tom grabs my suitcases from where I left them. It probably wasn't a good idea for me to leave them there so carelessly, last thing I want is for Mama's music box to get stolen. Thats been in the family for generations.

**Time Skip***

After getting to the bakery and getting settled into my new room I made my way down to the bakery where I inhaled the sweet scents of the freshly baked goods. Its been forever since I've had a croissant or macaroon but that would have to wait. Aunty smiles as she sees me come down. "Alright sweetie, what was it you had to tell us?" I frown again as I remeber exactly what's happened and why I'm here.

I can feel my heart constricting as I opened my mouth. "Aunty...I'm really sorry to tell you this but...m-mama and papa...t-they uh...they died a few days ago." I let out a shaky sigh as a new set of tears slide down my face. The looks of shock and sorrow that cross Aunties face as the words sink in makes my chest hurt even more. "What?" the way her voice shakes makes me wish I hadn't said anything, but she needed to know. I take a deep breath to try and steady myself to explain what happened.

"A few days ago...mama and papa were on their way to a big meeting, for the company (A/N: will be explained later) and on the way, there was an earthquake right by where they were at, it killed a lot of people, the damage and debris was severe and a lot of people got hurt or died and when they finished pulling all the bodies out of the debris people had to go and identify the bodies and...I had to confirm that it was mama and papa." I couldn't keep my voice from shaking as I explained what happened. I could see the tears running down aunties face as well. "I uh...I'm having their bodies shipped here for a funeral and I'm going to have them cremated so...if you want some of the ashes to...to keep mama close to you then you can. I already have their urns picked out." I glance up at her as I see her wipe her eyes with a sad smile. "I'd really like that sweetie. Its very thoughtful of you." I smile back as I hear the bell above the door chime and look over to see some familiar midnight blue pigtails looking at me in shock and smile at her with a small wave. "Hi Mari. Long time no see."

Her shock is short lived however as she breaks into a bright smile upon seeing me. "(Y/n)! I haven't seen you in years! I had no idea you were comming to visit!" She dashes forward to embrace me in a hug I quickly return as I fight off the flow of tears still tracking down my face. I pull away with a shaky smile as I admire how much she's grown over the years. "I missed you too. I just wish it was a happier reason for my visit." This makes her take note of the tears linning mine and Aunties face before she looks back at me with a frown.

"What happened?" is all she asks and I can hear the sorrow and worry in her voice at the thought of something being wrong. I swallow and open my mouth to answer before my Aunt interrupts. "(Y/n), why don't you head upstairs and get settled in. I'm sure it's been a very hard few days, I'll tell Marinette." When I look over to see her sad but kind smile I can't argue. with a reluctant nod I head upstairs after one more glance and smile at Marinette.

Upon climbing the stairs and entering my new room, a quick glance around tells me I will need to restyle it to fit my personality more. But that can wait for another date. I sink into bed with a sigh of relief. Not having to bear this news and greif by myself anymore is finally allowing me to relax enough now for the fatigue, that has eluded me for the past week, to finally settle in and claim me. With one last sigh my eyes grow to heavy to remain open and I don't want to fight it either. I let my head rest on the pillow and snuggle into the fluffy blanket as my mind finally slips into a deep dreamless sleep.
