CHAPTER 6 | THE FIRST LETTER (+)

- Liana's POV -

 - SCHOOL, Monday, 12:00 PM -

Finally, it's lunch time.

I exit my class slowly before being greeted by my best friend, Penny.

Penny is the head cheerleader of the school.

She would get a bit spicy when practices go wrong.

I'm just the valedictorian and the homecoming queen.

She waves enthusiastically at me, giving a big smirk.

"Hey girl! Ready to go have lunch?" She says, placing both of her hands on her waist.

"Yeah, sure. But I have to get my textbooks first to study for the quiz." I respond, walking slowly towards my locker.

Seconds later, we got to my locker.

I carefully opened it up and picked up my textbook.

As I was about to close my locker, I saw a pink colored envelope.

I take a closer look at it.

"Strange, why was this in my locker?" I say, examining the envelope.

Penny snatches it and looks at it.

She can be a bit cheeky sometimes.

"It doesn't have a name from the person who gave it to you. It only has your name on it." Penny utters, returning the envelope to me.

I shrugged and carefully opened up the envelope, revealing a piece of paper.

Opening the paper, It was a letter.

The person's handwriting is beautiful.

I start to read it...

When I read the letter, I was flattered.

This person is charming.

I face Penny, seeing that she has a weird expression on her face.

"Penny, this person is really charming." I excitedly exclaim, literally hugging the piece of paper.

"Uhm, okay. Let's go have lunch now." She replies hurrily.

She must be really hungry.

We strolled around before arriving at the cafeteria.

Today seems pretty busy, since the deli platter is limited to days like these.

We sit down on our usual table.

From this view, I see a familiar face across our table.

I take a closer look before noticing that the person is Aidan.

I have to be honest, I kinda like Aidan.

He looks amazing by the time I walked him home.

Even for a person who was bullied, he looks attractive.

I felt butterflies when I was with him at that moment.

Maybe I'm in love with Aidan Williams...

He's sitting with a guy beside him.

I couldn't help but stare at him.

"Hello? Is Liana there?" Penny waves her wand across my face.

She must've seen me gazing off.

"Oh, uhm, sorry. I spaced out." I say, hoping she was thinking that I was staring at him.
