Detention Centre
Maya and I arrived at the Detention Centre to meet our client. I had a strong feeling I knew who the client was, considering his mother requested our defense. Nonetheless, I sat in the Visitor's Room and waited for the client to arrive. "So, what do you think the client's gonna be like, Nick?" Maya asked me. I forgot that she had never met him. "I've met him before, in one of my earlier cases." I told her. Maya jumped in slight surprise. "Really?! I don't remember that!" (You were away in your village when it happened, Maya...) I thought to myself. I was about to tell her this when-
"'Sup, bro!? So you're my lawyer, yeah?"
Our client arrived in a rather loud fashion. Maya sat there, speechless. I also forgot to mention that he was a... gangster type of person. On the other side of the glass sat the defendant. "Name's Kitaki. Wocky Kitaki, bro!" he said, crossing his arms. Maya snapped out of her confusion and introduced herself. "I-I'm Maya Fey, Nick's assistant!" Wocky nodded slightly.
Wocky paused for a few seconds, staring strangely at me. Then he said, "Yeah, I know you, lawyer guy! You're that old geezer that got run over by that wacko doc!" Maya turned to look at me. "You were RUN OVER? BY A CAR?! Why am I only hearing about this now!?" I dismissed the matter with a wave of my hand. "Let's just say it was a hit-and-run accident. I'll tell you about it later. For now..."
Wocky told us everything he knew about the case. Well, sort of. "...Then those crazy offficers arrest me AGAIN! I spent enough time in the clink to last me a lifetime, bro!" He continued bantering about this and that. Maya and I weren't really paying attention. "So... where did the murder take place?" Maya asked him. However, Wocky just went on and on and on and on.....
I couldn't take anymore of his continuous talking. "WOCKY!" I yelled. Wocky seemed to snap out of it instantly. "Yeah? What's up, dawg?" I sighed and continued. "Where is the crime scene?" Wocky sat and thought about it. He eventually gave us a set location: The office of Meraktis Clinic. That's where we'd be heading next!

Meraktis Clinic
We attempted to search the office but the police refused to let us in. The situation felt awfully familiar somehow. "C'mon, pretty pleeeease?" Maya begged them. The officers still didn't allow us access. Maya returned looking annoyed. "This happens EVERY time! We try and investigate a murder and the police don't let us 'without permission'." she said, imitating a deep voice of a policeman.
"Maybe if we can talk to the detective in charge of this case and get their permission to see the crime scene?" I thought out loud. Maya nodded. "But who do you think it could be? We know a lot of detectives..." That was true. We DID know quite a few detectives in the area. Then again, the detective the police put in charge of this case may be someone we haven't met before. We decided to look around the area.
Half an hour passed and still there was no sign of a detective. Maya slumped against a wall. "Why is there nobody here who at least looks like a detective?!" she groaned.
"Did someone say, 'detective'?" said a feminine voice.
Maya and I quickly turned around. Stood there was a woman in a lab coat. A woman I recognized...
"Wait... Ema?!" I exclaimed. She giggled slightly. "That's me!" Maya looked at me, then at Ema, then at me again. "How do you know her, Nick?" she asked.
