Reality Slaps

Just as he was about to give up on breaking up with her today and push it further back, an hour late the door opens and he sees a figure that is wearing a black floral dress along with her signature scent smelled all over the place.

Her chestnut hair in a bun and hazel eyes that you could never get tired of staring at finally looks into him, "Like what you see darling? I'm just kidding, it's been awhile since we went out. Also you really never fail to impress me on giving me tulips on every date that we go to."

Cameron picks up the tulips and hands it over to Mel while assisting her with her seat then finally sitting back again. "Well your still consistently late and you've set a new record on the longest time I've waited for you on our date."

Mel positioned herself in the chair then proudly retorted, "Well I'm a very spontaneous and perfectionist kind of a person, you know the package you got when you asked me out darling."

Cameron humbly responded, "I know it's just sometimes I worry that one day you would ditch our date."

Mel assured him, "I would never miss our date for the world and whatever comes, so why did you suddenly called and asked me out?"

Finally, the dreaded question Cameron was waiting to be asked, "I wanted to see how you are and if you are doing well my love." A sincere answer, as he really wants to check on her before he ends their relationship.

"I've been doing pretty well! You should come over tonight and see my new paintings." Mel replied out a little bit loud. She sounded enthusiastic and sincere.

Cameron is having second thoughts if he should really do it. It's now or forever remain silent of your demons that is slowly killing you. "I would love too, but Mel i need to tell you something."

Mel seductively said, "Well if it's about last time you failing to make me reach my climax, well you could also make up for it tonight."

Entranced by those words Cameron would have almost give in, but this isn't fair for her or him. "It's been eating me ever since, but I need to say it for the sake of my sanity Mel. I haven't been doing well, the void that I've been telling you; it's growing bigger. No matter what I do or try its eating me, i don't want you to get sucked in by my void. Loving you was the best thing I've ever did, covering you in the pouring rain with my pink umbrella will always be the best decision I've ever made; but to love you continuously while I have this battle inside me wouldn't be fair to you."

The dreaded silence came, "For fucks sake, please say something Melany!"

Cameron couldn't hold it anymore. Suddenly a palm collided in his face, a painful slap.

Mel angrily screamed, "You just couldn't do it right? I have loved you and taken care of you! You don't end things when it gets hard, you fucking try and try until you lose the thought of it! You could have tried harder!"

They were screaming at each other; everyone is starting to stare at them.

Cameron explained with a strain on his voice, "You don't fucking know how much I gave up everything just to seal the void inside me! I fucking did everything to try and picture us both in the future, this person is someone that I don't want to lose and I prayed to God and all the higher beings above; please don't steal her away from me. I wanted you so badly! That my body and mind is at their breaking point!"

Tears were streaming down Mel's eyes, "You don't get to decide everything by yourself! Let me help you heal! Don't leave me Cam! Fucking stay! You may be a coward, but you have something good inside you ever since the night we met."

The sight of this is breaking Cameron's heart. He knew what to do, no matter how hard she cried he will still say no.

This is the only way for her to leave him. "Mel please just let me go, I don't want you to be hurt much more than this."

Mel then stood up, "You already broke me when you decided to end this! Fine have it your fucking way! Don't you ever call me or contact me! I never want to see your face!"

This wasn't the response Cameron was expecting to hear, he thought that he could have more time to explain. Unfortunately, Melany throws the tulips in his face and runs out the door, leaving Cameron in Awe.
