Chapter 8: Shadow

Haley's POV

I sat on the couch waiting for Shawn to return home, I decided to watch an episode of Breaking Bad which was me and Shawn's show.
I sat there for a few minutes until i heard some rattling behind me, I slowly turned my head to see our chandelier swaying back and forth,

"Um its probably just the wind.." I tried to convince myself.
I sat there for a few minutes until i heard heavy breathing, my heart beat began to increase but i just kept my eyes glued to the tv.
"Hello Haley" A voice whispered in my ear, I screamed.
Suddenly Shawn barged though the door with a bag from Tim Hortons and two vinalla bean frappes.
"Are you ok Haley? What happened?" He asked worried.
"Im fine um Jasmine just scared me" I said slowing down my breathing.
"We really gotta get rid of that cat" He said which made me laugh.

"Now I don't know about you, but im hungry" He said setting down the food on the table.
"YAS, your the best boyfriend ever!" I said hugging him before quickly grabbing my starbucks.
"Your so white" He chuckled.
"Uh whatever!" I said with as much sass as possible before strutting off in the other direction, whoch caused him to laugh harder.
"I guess you don't want Tims!" He said holding up a breakfast sandwhich.
"You know what i'll take that too" I said quickly grabbing it out of his hand.
He just laughed.

Shawn's POV

I rolled over from a deep sleep and checked the time: 2:45am. I groaned.
I got up and walked to the bathroom, my hands gripped tge side of the sink as i looked in the mirror, my eyes had dark circles under them. I looked like I had just woken up from the dead.

A ear pericing laugh went through my head.
"Go away!" I shouted bringing my hands to my ears.
"I'll never leave your side.." I looked up and seen a shadow behind the shower curton.
I slowly turned around, I gripped my hands on the shower curton and began to tug it, but stopped myself midway.
"Aw is there a problem Shawn?" it asked in a raspy voice.
"Please just go away" I begged as tears formed in my eyes.
"Like i said, I'll never leave your side.." It whispered.
"JUST GO AWAY!" I screamed flinging a bottle of mouthwash into the tub, a silence fell.
I breathed, it was gone.

I suddenly felt a hand quickly grab my shoulder, I sping around and let out a little yelp.
"Shawn are you ok?" Haley asked, my heart beat slowed.
"Yeah" I said walking back to bed.
"Something is seriously wrong with you!" She raised her voice. "And im scared, really scared..." She trailed off in a whisper.
"Im sorry for scaring you, Its nothing now please come back to bed" I said looking at her with pity.
"Ok" She whispered hoping in bed beside me.

"Its ok" I whispered in her ear before falling asleep.

It may be gone...
But it would be back...
