Chapter 18: Cooties

Haley's POV

We were all worried sick about Matt. Shawn looked guilty for some odd reason.
I grabbed his hand and set it on my lap, keeping them intertwined.

I leaned over and kissed his neck lightly, he flinched.
"Babe are you-" I started.
"Im fine" He mumbled, clearly frustrated.
He grabbed my hand tighter.

A doctor that we seen a while ago walked out, a warm smile planted on his face.
"Hes unconsious but he should wake up by tomorrow, he will need to stay the night" He explained and we all breathed in relief.

"Thank god my best friend isn't dead!" Carter exclaimed.

Cattchu forever.

I smiled as we all stood up, happy expression on our faces.
Except for Shawn, he just looked at his shoes.
I squeezed him tight into a hug.
"Im worried about you" I mumbled in his flannel.
I felt him hug back, his chin rested on my head.
"I feel perfectly fine!" He said with a light chuckled, I smiled.
"I love you" I whispered and he kissed my nose.

"Awww" I heard voices, all the boys stared at us, some with their hands set on their hearts, I giggled.
"Alright, alright lets go" Shawn said as his cheeks turned rosy red, I chuckled.
"What?" He asked.
"You're blushing! Aw" I exclaimed pouting, my lower lip stuck out.
"So what?" He asked nervously.
"Its adorable" I whispered and kissed his warm cheek.

He laughed and we all piled in the van, like literally piled, I was sitting on Aarons shoulder!

What crazy nuts we are.

Haley's POV

We all ran up to the elevator once we got back to the hotel.
"Its so warm in here" I sighed as the crowded elevator went up.
"It is!" Hayes shouted, I forgot about him...

Ding

I pushed my self out.
"You boys need to lay off the meatloaf!" I shouted like a mother to her kids and began to run to my room.
I heard stomps behind me on the hallway carpet, I quickly twisted open the door and flopped on the bed.

"You ok?" A voice said with a chuckle, I turned to see Taylor and Carter smling at me.
"Just perfect" I mumbled into the sheets.

"Hey you guys wanna come swimming?" Cameron asked coming into our room.
"Sure" We all repiled at the same time.
"Wheres Shawnie?" I asked laying down and rubbing my eyes.
"Waiting for you" Cameron said with a small smirk before walking down the hall.

I slowly rose out of bed and walked to my suitcase, pulling out a red bikini.
I turned to see Taylor and Carter leaned up against the door frame on there phones.
I wqlked over to them and lightly pushed them, sending them to tumble into the hallway. I waved before closing the door.

I slipped on my bathing suit and put my hair into a lazy ponytail.
"Makeup or no makeup?" I asked myself staring at my waterproof makeup.
"Eh who cares" I mumbled fixing my hair, I slipped in my sandal and a pair of shorts and walked out the door with a towel wrapped around my neck.

I knocked on the boys doors, no answer. They're probably already there. I walked to the elevator.

Once I found the pool I walked out. I looked around and seen the boys all over the place, looking like weirdos.
I chuckled before plopping myself down on a beach chair.

I closed my eyes and tried to tan, I was actually getting a nice tan when someone blocked out the sun.
"Hey babe" I voice said and I opened my eyes to see Shawn dripping infornt of me, my breath hitched for a second.

This boy.

"Heyy" I trailed off lightly blushing.
"Why aren't you swimming?" He asked with a small smile.
"Uh because I don't wanna look like a dripping wet-" I started but Shawn suddenly wrapped his arms around my waist, picking me up.

"Shawn put me down!" I screamed hitting his back as he brought me over to the pool.
"Whats the magic word?" He asked ad I could see the smirk plastered on his face.
"Are you serious?" I rolled my eyes.
"Yes now say it" He ordered.

I sighed.
"Shawn Mendes is a sexy beast" I mumbled.
"To late!" He yelled before dunking me in the water, the coldness made me scream.
"You mother-" I started.
"Woah woah WOAH" Cameron daid stepping in.
"What?" I questioned still pissed.
"There are children here" He mumbled and walked away.

I "pff" and swam underwater. I felt a splash close by and stuck my head out of the water to take a breather.
Someone quickly grabbed my waist, A scream escaped my lips.
I heard a chuckle and turned my head to see Shawn staring back at me, his bottom lip in between his teeth.

He leaned in and so did I. We were an inch apart when water splashed my face.
"Ewww boys have cooties!" A little girl wearing pink water wings screamed at us. I giggled.
"Yeah boys have cooties" I pushed Shawn away.
He gave me a smirk.
"Really?" He questioned, his eyebrow raised.

"Boys are gross!" The girl screamed again.
"Totally!" I exclaimed, rolling my eyes.
The little girl giggled and we high-fived.
"Oh my god" Shawn mumbled under his breath.
I crossed my arms and smirked at him.

"Heather there you are" A womans voice spoke, I turned to see a relived looking mother picking up the little girl.
"Im sorry was she bothering you?" She said with guilt in her eyes.
"No, she was very talkitive though" I laughed, she laughed as well.
"Bye bye!" The girl squeaked, I waved to her while smiling, they walked away.

"Do I still have cooties?" Shawns innocent voice said behind me.
"Mhm" I mumbled, my arms still crossed.
His soft lips suddenly met mine.
"There, now you have cooties" He smirked pulling away.

This boy.
