Shazam Billy x Freddy

Powers

While sitting on the train his whole world started to shake around him, the lights flickering on and off. "Hello, help!" Billy's heart raced he looked around to find he was now alone. The shaking went on for a horribly long minute. "This isn't my stop," he mumbles. The train abruptly stopped making Billy almost fall out of his seat.
   "Hello!" Billy's voice echoes throughout the dark cave. Billy sees several different artifacts but they were things he had never seen before. The place looked like it had been destroyed, Billy sees an old man sitting in a chair. The man gets up and says, "Billy Batson you are my last hope, so you have to be good. Pure of heart." Billy knew he wasn't good or pure of heart. He didn't think about it much but he knew he was not the best option. He wanted to be home for the first time. "I think you have the wrong person, I-I'm not pure." The man stops Billy from finishing his sentence by saying, "put your hand on my staff and say my name." Billy was trying not to laugh, this was the weirdest dream ever. "Um what's your name," Billy asks. "Shazam," the man says. Billy snorts trying to hold back his laughter at the guys name. "Put your hand on the staff and say it!" Shazam says a bit more intensely. "Shazam? Shazam!" Billy says the second louder than the first.
   Billy sees a bolt of lighting strike him, his body tingles but doesn't hurt. His eyes squint from the light. He feels like he grew a foot taller. "What the h...". How do i get home, Billy thought to himself. He wanted to be back on that bus again so he wouldn't have to deal with this anymore and this dream would just end.
   A loud noise came over Billy and when he looked around he was back on the bus like nothing happened. "Bold choice super boy!" Someone says on the bus. Billy looks down and sees that he was still dressed how he was in his dream, thinking it wasn't a dream in the first place. The bus doors open and Billy runs out realizing his situation, he was scared and like always, alone. Who could help Billy turn back to normal? But then he remembered that kid Freddy, he loved superhero's and Billy knew he was a trusting enough person.
   Billy didn't know who he was anymore. He had gotten so numb that when he did feel something he didn't know what to do. He looked up at the night sky and thought about his life and if the world would be better without him. No one would have to take care of him like a baby and he wouldn't be a burden to anyone, like his mom.

Billy got to the house and looked into the windows to find Freddy. He was in the kitchen gently washing dishes. He looked sad, deep in thought, and tired. Billy had to get Freddy's attention so he got out a notepad and thought of something to keep him quiet while he told him what happened. "Don't scream" Billy wrote but Freddy screamed and Billy said, "it's me, Billy. Something happened and now i look like this and not, well.. me!" Freddy scrambled around and Billy said, "meet me out here after lights out, ok?" Freddy nodded.
   Billy waited and Freddy finally came out to meet him. Billy explained what had happened and Freddy almost screamed from excitement, "i can't believe this dude, this is so cool! So what are your powers?" Freddy looks up at Billy and smiles. Billy wasn't sure because he didn't even think of trying anything out, but he looked into Freddy's deep eyes and said, "i have no idea." "Perfect!" Freddy almost jumps and falls over.
  "Test one flight!" Freddy fidgets around getting his phone out to film and Billy looks confused, "wait right now?" Billy says, "hell yeah right now! You just have to believe you can fly!" Billy felt more comfortable around Freddy like this, he wasn't his normal self and he liked that. As this new hero he felt free from his life. Billy tried to fly but fell on his face, "ouchhh!" Billy rubs his shoulder.
   Throughout the night Freddy and Billy talk a lot and find out more of this hero's powers. He has lightning hands, bullet immunity, and crazy strength and speed. Freddy turns and looks to him and says, "How do i know your not a villain?" Billy startled, scrambles around out of a sudden change in the mood searching for the stuff he stole from Freddy in his backpack. "Cause of this" Billy pulls out a bullet but it falls down the drain. "Damn it, that was a lot of money." Freddy says to Billy. Billy had a sensitive side and said, "oh sorry i was gonna give it.. but.. then." Freddy notices Billy is sensitive and interrupts realizing he was a bit harsh even if Billy stole it from him , "it's ok."
   Freddy walks over to a bench to sit down and yawns. Billy notices he's tired and thinks they should head home. "Let's go," Billy looks at Freddy and nods in agreement and they walk back home. Billy quickly sneaks in but makes a creak in the stairs. Freddy looks over at him and mouths, "I'll cover you go." So Billy accidentally runs into Darlas room. Darla turns around and looks like she's about to scream so Billy runs and puts his hand on her mouth "Shhh, it's Billy it's a long story but i got turned this way cause i went in this old dungeon and this wizard guy named Shazam.." lighting strikes and Billy is Billy again, Freddy walks in and says, "i told them your home, and saved your ass you're welcome." Billy looks at Darla and says, "don't tell anyone, promise?" Darla looks nervous and says, "I'll try." As Billy walks out the door he says, "if you do you're a good sister."
   Billy and Freddy are ready for bed and Billy climbs up his bunk to lay down. Something hits him and he starts crying with tears streaming down his face. He thought about what he was gonna do as this hero, and how he wasn't worthy and he just kept crying. He tried to be quiet but Freddy heard, "are you good."  Billy responds, voice shaky barely audible, "yeah." Freddy stumbles out of bed and somehow gets up a step or two, "it's gonna be ok, don't worry, maybe it's just a one day thing." Freddy touched Billy's shoulder so gently, Billy hasn't ever been touched like that. "Just go to sleep, it will be ok in the morning, goodnight." Freddy says as he manages to wiggle down and into his bed. Billy falls asleep quickly after.
