sky leaned over the bed, and max was gone. she spotted the clock that said 12:45pm. she must've went to the arcade. she always does wake up early.
she turned back around, and steve was gone too. she got up, and walked down the stairs. this is such a nice house. i wish i lived here. "in here!" steve yelled from the kitchen.
she walked over to the kitchen, and he's eating cereal. "do you want some?" he asked.
sky shook her head. "i want to answer your question from yesterday." she told.
steve plopped his spoon back into the bowl, leaning closest to her. "do you actually want to answer?" he asked.
she nodded. "my family and i left california, because there was some rumors going around about me, that weren't even true. there was this one where i slept with my teacher, but i rarely even talked to my teachers. it got worse, when people started going up to max and billy in the halls, and saying stuff to them. it pissed them off so much, that they started being in fights over it. i know i say that billy is an asshole, and he is for doing this, but he really is protective over max and i. billy and i's father, and max's mother thought it was a good idea to get away from that shit. billy always says that the stuff people were saying were true, but he would never let anyone else talk about me like that." she sighed.
steve walked around the island, and hugged her. "i'm so sorry that happened to you, sky. you don't deserve any of that." he pulled her closer.
she pulled away. "now i got some questions for you." she demanded.
steve sighed. "oh god. what are they?" he asked.
sky sat down on the kitchen stool. "i want to know what happened to will byers in the field that one day." she demanded an answer.
steve wandered his eyes outside of the windows. "you can't tell anyone i told you this, okay? we could die for this. you got that?" he reassured.
sky nodded, wanting to know everything.
steve continued. "so a year ago, will went missing for a while, and everyone thought he was dead. they even found a body similar to his in the creek one day, but it wasn't him. his friends wouldn't stop searching for him, and they found this girl with powers instead. she knew exactly where will was; he was in this place called the upside down."
"slow down. he was dead, but it wasn't him?" she asked.
steve nodded. "and his friends found a girl named eleven that had some super powers, and she helped with her powers."
