Chapter 7 - My question

I woke to see that my pet was still fast asleep. I smiled and stood, stretching a bit. I got out of bed and looked at her. 

'I will let her sleep.' I thought and walked out, seeing Iron. 

"Ah, Iron. Please stay her and if my pet wakes, come get me." I said. Iron nodded. I looked at him. 

"I am sorry about your sister, but you know my rules. You helped my in the war to gain power and I gave you the royal guard." I said. Iron looked at me. I saw anger in his eyes.

"I understand my king." He said. I nodded and left. I knew he was mad but my rules are more them rules, they are the law. I walked into my study when I sighed. I forgot my armor. I turned and walked back to my chamber but I saw Iron was gone and i heard my pet's voice.   

"I'm sorry." She said. I walked in and Saw Iron was standing in front of her.

"Whats going on in here." I asked. My pet looked at me.

"Nothing, my king. Your pet just woke up and I was going to escort her to you." Iron said. He was still facing my pet. 

"Well I'm here now, Iron. You may go." I said. I watched Iron leave the room and walked up to her. 

"Your luck I let you sleep in pet. Come." I said, picking up her chain. I would put the armor on as she made us breakfast. 

"Make two plates. One for me, one for you." I said and left. I walked back to my...our room and placed my armor back on before going back to the study. I then heard the door open and looked. It was my pet, with two plates. She set one down for me then herself on the floor. I used my magic and she ate what was offered but i waited. She didn't start to eat. I growled. 

"What did you do to this pet?" I asked and she looked at me.

"Nothing my king." She said. I glared at her.

"Then why do you not eat?" I asked. Her ears flattened and she looked down. I knew it.

"It's rude to eat before the king takes a bite, not including the tasting for poison." She said. I grabbed her with my magic, making her look at me in the eyes. 

"Tell me you didn't poison anything." I said. She looked at me. She looked so scared.

"I didn't, and won't poison you." She answered. I let her go and lifted the sandwich. I took a bit, keeping an eye one her. She then started to eat. She was telling my the truth. 

"You know if you kill me, you can escape." I admitted as I ate. I wanted to see what she would say, or even do but all she did was sigh.

"I know, but I could never kill any pony. I'm a prisoner, just like everyone here." She said. I moved and placed my hoof under her chin she she would look at me. 

"OH pet, your more then just that. Your my pet. Think of this as the freedom no one else has." I said and let her go and turned back to my books. It was the truth. She had the least amount of chains on her, aside from Iron.

"How is this freedom?" She asked. I smiled and turned to her, looking at her in the eyes.

"Because you don't get to wear so many chains, you get to talk, you get to sleep and wake normally." I said. She looked down but I placed my hoof under her chin again and made her look at me.

"But I can give you more." I said. She did say anything. This was my chance.

"All I ask is you tell me everything you know about Princess Celestia and Princess Luna." I said. If she told me this, I would grant her anything she wanted.
